Tribute Post 2: Photos From Readers & Chocolate Goodies

How are you doing today?  It’s majorly TGIF for me.  What a whirlwind week!  Scott was gone on a business trip for a few days and so I was on solo parenting duty, I got hired to teach yoga and I’ve been getting my ducks in a row on everything from pre-employment drug tests to the updating my yoga wardrobe.  As I mentioned in my last post, I hit up Lulu for some Yoga Wear.   Thanks for all the compliments on my new duds!  I totally appreciate the kind words as well as some of you chiming in on hating tight pants to living in your cropped pants, too!  Here-here!

In my last post, I also mentioned I have been up to some Espresso Making.

I’m also really glad you enjoyed the First ReaderTribute Post where I featured the Readers who have Made My Recipes.  It’s chock full of great reader photo submissions and links to their site, as well as to my original recipes, in case you got hungry and wanna try your hand at a few eats.

Since I got so many photo submissions, it’s time for Tribute Post 2.   Enjoy!  And then I break out a few chocolaty items of my own at the end…

So without further ado, here are the Reader Pics.
Each pic has two links:  First, the link back to the Reader’s Blog
And the Second Link goes back to the place on my Blog where the Original Recipe is Posted.  Enjoy!

Moving along to a few other Things Now…
(including Chocolate Goodies)

I was so happy to find a box at the front door containing some great samples from Amazing Grass.

I am most excited by this Chocolate Action.

Katie uses it and since she’s actually Chocolate-Covered Katie, I figure it should pass muster with me.  Stay tuned for recipes I hope to create with it.

I also snacked on another chocolate item.  A Pure Bar in Chocolate Brownie flavor.

Dates, walnuts, chocolate, vegan, gluten-freeYou really cannot go wrong with Pure Bars.

Dinner was a big pile of rabbit food Kale, Tomatoes, Asparagus, Cauli, Cukes with my homemade Vegan Slaw Dressing.

Dessert was, what else, Raw Vegan Peanut Butter Cups and…

….a few bites of some Raw Vegan Chocolate Coconut Snowball action.  New readers this is a 5-minute, no fancy appliance, freezer only, kinda dessert.  Easy, rich, chocolaty, divine.

Yoga Today is Halasana (Plow Pose).  When you enter Halasana, don’t turn your neck from side to side, you could injure yourself if you don’t just keep your neck still.  Also, your drishti (gazing point), should be your navel.   And remember to Breathe.  Special Shout Out here to Cindy who’s thanked me over and over about how my Pose of the Day has truly helped her not only find yoga, but also deepen her practice and that these poses I do have been incredibly helpful to her.  You are so welcome, my Friend. Namaste!

Have these daily yoga poses helped anyone else?  Tell me about your yoga Journey.  Are you a Beginner, never tried it, intermediate, or have you tried yoga but haven’t really stuck with it?  Do you want to get into yoga more?  Tell me about where you’re at with Yoga!  Do you have any special questions I could help answer? If you missed my Yoga FAQ’s post, check it out, too!

Tip of the Day:  Michelle (Lucky Taste Bud’s) is giving away lotsa loot!

Stay Tuned For a Highlights of the Week Post…

Love the Roasted Potatoes pic!! I am eating so many of them lately (or sauteed in a skillet with olive oil) – yum! Happy T-Day – it's not so in Canada :(…but I wish it were now…I have so many fond memories of my family's food over the years – in terms of Thanksgiving – definitely her Turkey and Stuffing, boiled Turnips and potatoes…and then banana bread and Frozen McCain cake for dessert …haha sorry now raw or vegan ;)
Lovin' your poses girl :) Do you focus primarily on yoga for your workouts? You look like so strong!!…can I come work for you…i can babysit too haha :)

Mmm, I am liking the sound of the almond butter cookies! Actually, with the chocolate chip on top, they remind me of an upgraded version of peanut butter kiss cookies–you know the PB cookies you stick a Hershey's kiss on top of? Yeah, there's more than one reason I haven't had one of those in like a decade, but I think I can definitely get on board with your lil AB concoction…

I hope that I am doing some serious PMS-ing because I am craving sweets like it's nobody's business right now…looking at your blog has just intensified those cravings! The picture with the spoonful of sunbutter and those chocolate chips is decadent. Clearly it doesn't take a lot to excite me! :)

That's so cool that you had another blogging meet- up!! I SO want to do that someday again!

Another blogger meet-up! You lucky gal. :)

I have got SUPER cute business cards from zazzle.com. They are so adorable. I also have to look at every last choice, too! I think these are a bit pricey (@ zazzle), but I thought it was worth it. I ended up getting a few diff designs, too, because I couldn't decide.

I can't wait to see what you make for Thanksgiving, love!

Averie – you are a genius.

Tonight, I made the vegan Reese's with vegan Trader Joe's chocolate chips and Trader Joe's raw crunchy almond butter.

It literally took 2 x 45 s microwave blasts, and 5 minutes in the freezer. In the future I would mix either ground flax or nutritional yeast with the AB as you suggested, but I have no complaints.
Their beauty is in their simplicity. :)

Hee hee. My 'real life' girlfriends always say that if you're not at a gathering then you're fair game for being on the receiving end of gossip! :-) So funny!

Your tropical oats looks really superb.

I look forward to stuffing as it's only once a yr. you know, in the UK, a lot of people have stuffing on any random sunday when they have their sunday roasts (=roast chicken). Not very vegan, but I'm saying that they have stuffing all the time! we should too darnit!

OMG- your overnight tropical coconut oats?! For a warmer day, I am definitely going to duplicate that.

And oh, your comment Averie definitely made me a smiley girl. :) Broccoli is so cheap too! And eating it raw- that is definitely going to be a staple when I move into the dorms come end of January. I know I already said Happy Thanksgiving in a previous post (hello, behind on google reader, AGAIN. It never ends! hehe, I love it though.) but again, have a wonderful day!
