Goodbye San Francisco, Hello San Diego
Hi Friends! I hope you’ve had a nice weekend. Mine has been a whirlwind but it’s time to say Goodbye San Francisco, Hello San Diego. Did the extra hour of sleep from Daylight Saving’s Time help you at all, if you have daylight savings time? (Arizona doesn’t do it and other places don’t either)? I’ll never complain about an extra hour, but I think I need more than just one hour of extra sleep after the week leading up to my trip and the trip itself. Traveling tires me out! Good thing there’s coffee.
Here was my room at the Westin St. Francis in San Fran
Here’s the Goodie Bag I receive. Or we can call it the Swag Bag.
$25 Gift Card from Chefs Catalog. New to me company, and happy to have $25 to spend!
Meat & Pork Rub Seasoning
This little scoop is so cute. I’m sure I’ll find a way to use it!
A Knife called The Devil
A cool whisk!
Attune. Love it! I have reviewed it here before.
From my last major post about meeting all the great new friends in person, I’m glad you enjoyed all the pictures!

And I had a quickie post about Celebrating San Francisco. It was fun to read how you like to celebrate and if you’re more of a quiet and mellow celebrater or more life of the party and a wild child.
Brittany just tagged me in this picture on her Facebook Page with Michelle and Gina, too

I’m looking forward to being home and eating lots of fresh produce and green food with Vegan Slaw Horseradish Relish Dressing
And I’m going to start a pot of homemade chili because it’s cooling off here. Stovetop or crockpot, either will work.
Dessert: Raw Vegan Coconut Oil Chocolate
Questions
1. Best thing you did or ate over the weekend?
Me = Go to Food Buzz and meet everyone!
2. Do you miss your family or significant others when you or they travel or when you’re apart? A little, a lot, not at all?
I do miss Scott when he travels for work, and he does travel frequently. But as I mentioned in this post, this trip was my first time leaving Skylar. And I missed both her and Scott, terribly! I really thought I wouldn’t miss them that much, but I did.
Next trip, Aruba. As a family. And I can’t wait!
3. After you’ve been traveling, do you crave home-cooked meals and food?
I do! I crave simple food. Simply prepared, nothing fancy, just basic, yet nourishing, familiar foods. And I am excited always to get back to my familiar workout patterns. See Here for my latest 20 Minute At-Home Workout routine
4. Fave kitchen gadget, knife, utensil or item you love around your kitchen?
I am not sure what I will use the thermometer for that I received. I know I will put the whisk to use, though!
And I’ve posted here about my Favorite Kitchen Things, everything from good knives to my Vita-Mix. I still stand by my thoughts that good knives are an indispensable tool in the kitchen. But I am a sucker for little gadgets and cute measuring cups, too!
Have a great start to your week! I have a yummy recipe post coming up in the next day or so once I get it typed up…
