Having a Dichotomous Nature – Do You?
Hi Friends! I hope your weekend is off to a nice start! What do you have planned this weekend? I am working, am actually working every day until we leave for our trip, so expect some shorter posts from me this week.
I got these two magazines in the mail on the same day.
From yesterday’s Thanksgiving Food & Recipes Post, thanks for the compliments on the food I made.
And this non-traditional dessert!
It was fun to hear if you’re a Black Friday Shopper or not. Sounds like most of you aren’t that into it, but a few of your early birds scored some great deals.
Wanted to let you know about this deal:
Dessert: Vegan Maple-Nut Chocolate Oaties
Questions
1. Best Thing You’ve Done or Eaten so far this weekend? Or on Thanksgiving?
Best thing I did was get my Holiday Cards addressed! I plan to put them in the mail later this week. Still have to pick up a few more stamps but am dreading the post office lines.
2. Do you have Thanksgiving Leftovers? What are you doing with them?
I purposefully did not make tons and tons of food. I cut back on the amount of side dishes I made from last year as I mentioned. Scott has about 3 meals worth of turkey, stuffing, gravy, and cranberries after the actual Thanksgiving meal. And actually told me he could eat that meal every day forever. He loved it that much. haha!
3. Are you a Dichotomy? Do you have interests, hobbies, or make life choices that are polar opposites or on complete opposite ends of the spectrum?
I am definitely a dichotomy. Here are a few of mine:
Yoga and Weightlifting. Blissful yogi meets balls out grunting weightlifter.
High Raw Green Food and Cooked Desserts with Sugar
Shop at Thrift Stores and at Neiman Marcus
I believe in Zen, Calmness, and Being Centered and also in Pushing Yourself and Challenging Yourself <—(that’s my tough love post)
Homebody and Traveler
Quiet and alone time is wonderful but so is going out and being with others
Getting sweaty and dirty working out and then cleaning up well
Enjoying running distances in my running shoes but hating to walk more than a block in high heels
Being a Wife Mother and loving it, but Not Losing Myself to Motherhood or just being Scott’s wife but keeping my own identity in tact as well
What things about you are dichotomous?
Have a wonderful day, friends!
And tomorrow I have a major Chocolate Post coming up!
