Trying New Things, New Workout & Health Products
Hi Friends! I hope your week is off to a good start! Today is Day 2 of my “weekend” since I’m off Mondays and Tuesdays and I plan to make great use of it! Yesterday Skylar and I ran errands. I had to make a quick stop at the mall, we grocery shopped, and I whipped up a new recipe that I’ll be blogging about later in the week.
And I want to give a shoutout to Sophia. Such a great girl. I snagged this photo from her post. I love that it’s black and white. And I love that she and I finally met!

Questions
1. How do you feel about trying out new workout items, tools, health products, or things in general?
Previous to the companies contacting me, I had never heard of Rubberbanditz or Madre-C but I am always game to try something new.
Recently I posted about how I’ve streamlined my fitness routine into 20 minutes, and that it can all be done at home, with a yoga mat, a pair of dumbbells, and an exercise ball. Not much space or budget$ required!
One of my main points in the post was that the same thing(s) isn’t always going to work, or work forever, so it’s important, I believe, to be receptive to change and to trying out new things. For instance, I sold my Bowflex because I wasn’t using it, even though I wanted to love it and use it, as I explained why here, it just wasn’t for me. But I always love trying new things.
I mean, you never know if you’re going to love a piece of sporting/exercise equipment or vitamin supplement. Never hurts to try something; you may just end up loving it, is my attitude.
2. Do you consider yourself adventurous and up for trying new things, or more comfortable with “old stand by’s” and predictable when it comes to making choices, in general?
I guess this question is similar to my first question but I am actually very open to trying new things, but once I find a product or a food or a routine that works for me, I do tend to stick with it and not change it. For instance, I frequently eat the same foods. I call this a Food Groove, not a rut.
It’s a balancing act and I’m a mish-mash of being adventurous vs. being predictable. Just depends on the item and situation. I love lip gloss and body spray. What can I say, I’m very girlie in many ways. And I have my old standby’s but I love trying new colors and scents. Same with coffee. I love TJ’s Dark Sumatra but I always sample other coffees, too.
3. Anything fun or exciting planned for your week or the rest of the month?
I have a busy month of November and have a very fun December coming up!
