Happy New Year & Ringing in 2011
Hi Friends! Happy New Year’s Day! What did you do last night? Any good stories? I want to hear all the juicy details! I worked so I don’t have anything very noteworthy to share.
The closest I got to champagne was this
Today I plan to acquaint myself with my New Camera
Because since getting home from Our Trip
…and cooking things like Spicy Vegetable, Corn, and Bean Soup
So, hopefully this weekend I can start taking pictures with my New DSLR!
From my last post about Popular/Favorite Posts, and Updating Blog’s Pages and Tabs, it was interesting to hear if you do this regularly or not (if you’re a blogger) and as a reader, if you care or notice.
It was great to hear more about what you want to read and see more of on my blog in 2011. Thanks to those of you who said you like things just the way they are…that was sweet but honestly, if you do want to see more of certain things, just let me know!
Tip of the Day:
If you happen to be nursing a hangover or indulged a little too much and are feeling out of balance, you could always just start drinking again. Kidding.
Or you could try coconut water because of the natural electrolytes and healing properties.
Factoid: Did you know they used coconut water in a pinch in WWII for blood transfusions because coconut water is extremely similar to human blood plasma. More facts about coconut water here
And while you’re at it, make some Homemade “Gatorade”
1. What did you do for NYE? How did you Ring in 2011? Any good stories?!
I worked and prior to that, I fought for parking places in the grocery store and Trader Joe’s parking lot. The pre-holiday, “we will never see food again so must race to the grocery store and hoard” shoppers were out in full force. I was just trying to do my normal weekly shopping and had to circle around forever for a parking spot at the grocery store. Fun times.
2. Plans for New Years Day?
Getting familiar with my new camera as I mentioned and hopefully just taking it easy. Or easier than usual. And working later on.
3. Are you excited for the holidays to be over and to get back into more of a regular routine? Or do you enjoy the hoopla and hubbub of the holidays?
Between Halloween, Thanksgiving, Chanukah, Christmas, and New Years, I am ready to be holiday-less for awhile.
Not to mention, after traveling for 3+ weeks in December, I am happy to get back to more normal patterns and get in more of a groove.
Happy 2011 Everyone!
