On Track With New Year’s Intentions, Goals, Resolutions?
How’s your weekend going? I hope it’s off to a good start. I am working, but that’s ok, it’s still the weekend. And it’s gorgeous here! Mid 70s and sunny. Time to get off the computer and outside. Pronto!
Now that we are 2 full weeks into the New Year, has anyone fallen off the bandwagon with any New Years Resolutions you set? As an aside I don’t like saying “Resolutions”. I like Intentions. Sort of semantics, but I’m into details.
Did you set any 2011 Intentions? Are you on track with things?
One of my intentions today is some wholesome, raw, easy, plant-based food.
Like some Spicy Raw Taco Nut “Meat” on a bed of greens
Or if I am not too lazy to wrap things up, some Fresh Vegan Spring Rolls and 2-Minute Peanut Sauce would be nice.
I’m glad you enjoyed my post yesterday about Shopping in Your Own Kitchen. Or closet. It was fun to hear what you’ve found that you forgot about that became new to you, all over again.
Thanks for the compliments on my dishes. I need to start using some of them more! And to those of you who told me you don’t have a kitchen of your own yet so your dishes are a collection of various things and pieces and you don’t want to spend too much money on anything, I totally understand and even if you do have a kitchen, mixing and matching dishes can be fun and creative.
This cake is a good way to use up any extra bananas. Or any peanut or nut butter you have laying around. But that’s probably not much of a problem.
To use up extra or ripe bananas, I have a whole post on Banana Recipes for Using Up Ripe Bananas.
Or just make some Microwave Banana Oat Cakes
Thanks to everyone who’s written telling me you’ve made these and are enjoying them!

1. Best Thing You’ve Ate or Done this weekend?
I made something yesterday that rocked. A savory dish. I will be posting the recipe soon.
2. Does the start of a New Year mean the start of anything New for you? New foods or dietary path, new workout plans, a new job, new routines, a new attitude about things?
My vacation in December in Aruba did me wonders in terms of re-setting my mentality, attitude, and recharging my batteries about everything.
I came back refreshed, feeling good, feeling excited about the new year and about tackling everything on my Intentions list and staying on track with my goals.
Plus the beautiful weather is putting some extra pep in my step today!
3. Are you on Track with your Intentions/Goals/Resolutions? Or how has the first two weeks of 2011 been for you?
The first two weeks of the year have been busy and hectic. I have lots of going on behind the scenes, but I am doing well and am really happy and excited about everything!
Other than the not getting 6 hours of sleep every night, I am doing pretty well with the 10 Intentions I set.
Time for me to enjoy the beautiful weather with an outdoor power walk with my family and get a quick 20 minute at home yoga and lifting workout in.
Enjoy your weekend and see you later today!
