Product Review, Good Things in 2011
Hi Friends! How has your weekend been so far? I have been busy working, being a mom, running errands and just trying to get back into the groove of everyday life after traveling most of December. I felt so buried and swamped with things that had piled up while we were gone, but am starting to feel more in the swing of things now since being home for 6 days.
Sunday morning I plan to do a 20 minute run and a 20-minute at home workout with weights, balls, and yoga. And then Skylar and I have errands to run. I am going to attempt to get to Target. We’ll see if I actually make it there or not.
White chocolate bar contains superfoods. Scott had it and said it was good and he liked it and would buy it again.
Milk chocolate is GF. Skylar scarfed it down. “Mmm, mommy this bar is really good. I really like chocolate bars, Mommy.”
Dark chocolate is Vegan. I had this one and it was a delicious vegan candy bar that didn’t taste vegan or like “healthfood”.
I am glad that companies are on board and are making vegan, organic candy bars. Also see my review of Jokerz Bars, i.e. Vegan Snickers bars.
From my last post about a New Year: New Camera, New Pictures, New Hobby, thanks for telling me about your hobbies and what you love to do and what you’re passionate about. It’s so fun to read comments like that!
And I was so happy that you could tell my pictures were better, immediately. Also thanks for telling me that you didn’t notice any slower page load times on your end, despite me mentioning the image files were large and took a long time on my end to upload them into iphoto.
Nothing like the first day out of the gate not even knowing what I am doing with the camera and yet, the pictures were instantly better. Makes me wish that I had bought my DSLR ages ago!
Same thing with my Vita-Mix. If you are even thinking of getting any appliances, that would be the one I’d recommend you get. Not a dehydrator, not a juicer, no. Get a Vita. I’ve talked about my kitchen appliance rankings and what I’d buy first and last. And that I wished I had bought it years before.
I realize DSLRs and Vita-Mixes are expensive but I plan to have the former for at least a decade and the later for at least two decades. Investing in quality has never steered me wrong.
Recipe of the Day: Sweet & Sour Honey Lemon Tofu
A simple marinade, a quick bake and flip in the oven, and it’s done.
1. Best thing you’ve ate or done over the weekend?
I loved playing with my new camera Saturday afternoon and spending time with Scott and Skylar when I haven’t been at work.
Best thing I’ve drank was piping hot coffee which tastes extra good because it’s so chilly here!
2. Is anyone watching football on Sunday?
I pay zero attention to football. But Scott will be at the sports bar watching the Bears game and Skylar and I are doing our own thing. Like Target, maybe.
3. Tell me one good thing that’s happened so far in 2011 for you?
Sorry to sound like a broken record, but I love my new camera. So that’s a good thing.
Another good thing is that the sun has been shining and it’s not cloudy and rainy.
Another good thing is that football season is almost over. haha
Last good thing is that it feels good to have the holidays done.
See you later today friends!
