Stocking Up, What Do You Stock Up On?
Good Morning gang! How’s Saturday morning shaping up for you? It’s nice here and I am about to take a power walk with Scott while Skylar rides in the jogging stroller.
Yesterday I went to the mall because I was low on overpriced facial cleanser.
So as long as I was at Nordstrom buying one, I thought I’d just buy two bottles. Why not. I like to have inventory on hand. Plus this will save me a trip to the mall which is a good thing.
Why is that a good thing?
Well remember when I said yesterday that one of the items on my Wish List was cute dishes?
Well, I had to walk
past into Anthropologie and admire all their cute dishes and things for the home.
But I didn’t buy anything. I don’t like to walk out of Anthro empty handed so it’s really better I just stay out of the mall, in general.
Flashback Alert: Walking into Anthro reminded me of the day Madeline and I went there together when she was in San Diego for a day.
Plus, I’ve bought plenty of things lately and I don’t need to be anywhere near a mall!
My new camera.
And then my new lens that I mentioned yesterday.
Thanks for telling me what’s on Your Wish List. Fun to read. And think oh, maybe I’d like to put that on my wish list, too.
After our walk I’m going to make some muffins. That’s what weekend mornings are all about, right?
Vegan Gluten Free Blueberry Streusel Muffins
These are a one bowl, one spoon, stir by hand, and bake, type recipe. Super easy.

1. Do you like to Stock Up on things? Do you like to have “inventory” on hand?
Yes, and yes.
I like to know that key products in my life, from apples and tomatoes to toilet paper and paper towels to facial cleanser, that I not only have some on hand, but that I have extra in backup.
I admit to having at least a half dozen rolls of TP in each bathroom. I just like to keep things well-stocked, what can I say.
Same goes for certain food items. I always have plenty of spices, sugar, vegetables, fruit, etc. on hand. I always keep These Items in my Pantry.
2. If you do like to be well-stocked, or keep things stocked up, what do you stock up on? Where do you buy things from?
I’ve posted here about Buying in Bulk. There are some things that yes, I do buy in bulk, but not everything.
Do not confuse Buying in Bulk with Bulk Bins. Those, for me, are a hazard. Moth eggs, rat hair, and fecal contamination are often found in bulk bins. I did a post about the Hazards of Bulk Bins. If you enjoy them, and haven’t gotten sick yet, I say ignorance is bliss. haha!
I use iHerb.com for all my dry goods, spices, supplements, protein powder, agave, nooch, etc. Enter Code AVE630 at checkout to save $5 Off your First Order and get Free Shipping. And never pay retail or WF prices again!
I always like to be stocked up on paper products (TP, paper towels, Kleenex), soaps (laundry, dish, hand, bath), and Pantry things like spices, flours, sugars, etc.
3. Facial Cleanser recommendations please!
I have used tons of products but it seems that the drugstore stuff works for awhile for me, then I breakout, have combination skin issues, and my skin rebels and just doesn’t look as good and I stop using the drugstore stuff.
So I will go back on Lancome, my skin looks great again, and I think, oh, I don’t need to spend all this money on expensive cleanser and I go back to drugstore stuff.
However, then the cycle repeats. Breakouts, combo skin, skin looking…meh.
What do you use on your face?
See you later on!
