I made a TJ’s run yesterday and picked up a few staples
I see other bloggers sharing what they have in their cupboards, refrigerators, and what they keep on hand. So I figured it was mu turn to share.

99 cents for this kale bunch
I eat at least one tomato per day. It’s a pricey little habit because I really only purchase vine-ripe, but I don’t skimp on my tomato addiction. There are worse things.
With that list, I can pretty much make anything and everything I make!
Of course off the top of my head, I’m sure I am forgetting things, but really, nothing on that list is too fancy. Some of the items are not things I use every day, but they are in the back of my cupboards for a rainy day.
From my last post about Challenge: 10 Facts, I am glad you liked mine and it was great to read yours! Thanks for playing along.
Questions
1. What are your pantry, refrigerator, or cupboard staples?
I also have a list of things I use for baking/unbaking at the bottom of my Chocolate Recipes post. Cupboard and pantry items and ingredients that I keep on hand to whip up goodies at a moment’s notice.
2. What has made you laugh today?
Skylar told me she was hibernating. And explained that means when you sleep for a long time. And since when is a barely 4 year old sleeping only 7.5 hours considered “a long time”? I guess it must be all that Birthday excitement!
Many thanks to those of you who have continued to comment and wish her well on her birthday! She’s my big 4 year old now.

thanks
I think our staples are pretty much the same except I don’t usually have potatoes as I’m not a fan. Also, I tend to have coconut butter as opposed to oil. Others things I keep on hand would be canned tuna, and WW bread (for the fam), a hunk of good Parm cheese and pasta. A quick week night meal for me would look like a can of tuna, capers, a can of diced tomatos, pasta, freshly grated Parm. Comes together ASAP! :)
Something that made me laugh lately……Noah’s friend told me at the hockey game/b-day party last Friday that he “was so excited his spirit was on fire!” LOL
Gosh, my pantry staples have gone from modest to an entire stocked store in the past 2 years! I overbuy waaaayyy too much. Flours? ALL of them. Literally, every flour Bob’s Red Mill makes I have. Beans, check. Pasta, every shape. Grains, every form. Condiments, 20 varieties of mustard to a pound of garlic powder. Frozen veggies, fresh veggies — one of almost everything!
I just buy too much. I’m a compulsive shopper. It’s probably good that Whole Foods and TJ’s is 75 miles away.
I always have different varieties of rice, canned veggies and legumes, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil.
Thanks for the pantry list!
The thing that made me laugh today is a YouTube clip of the show “Svetlana”. Have you ever seen it?
Torri
Oh, and because you mentioned Millionaire Matchmaker it reminded me how I haven’t seen it lately so I ended up watching the entire fourth season within a week! My household chores are lagging way behind now! haha.
holy coconut oil!! haha well acutally I bet the container I have is about equal to 4 of those smaller ones! its ginourmous!!!
I always have oats, PB, protein powder, brown rice, quinoa, almond milk, greek yog, egg whites, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, mustard, tons of spices, almonds, tuna on hand most all of the time! OH and loads of fruits and veggies fresh and frozen!
I just found your blog the other day and am in love with it already. Chocolaaaaaaate!!!!!
I always try to have nut butter, oats, and yogurt. Usually some veggies too :)
Peanut Butter, Soymilk, & Bananas are staples! Love love love all three of those things. (Heck, I like ’em together!)
Something that made me laugh recently, my 5 & 6 year old cheerleading squad. They are just too funny.
Ha! You are a gal after my own heart! I have a serious tomato addiction and I love it!! When I was a kid I used to eat tomatoes like apples, I’d add a dash of salt every few bites. My cousin in FL may have started this addiction but besides her nobody else I know/knew ate tomatoes like that. Oh and i have a serious addiction to dips. Currently I have the sweet and spicy mustard from TJ’s and I seriously just use it as dip for my veg lol!!!
Smores flavored coffe, that sounds soooooo great! We have a lot of the same staples in our house that you do. I always want to try that slaw dressing everytime I see it on you blog. This just might be the week!
I ALWAYS have coconut oil & coffee – can’t seem to make it through a day without. I also always have hemp seeds and frozen wheatgrass juice cubes and citrus. Happily parsley grows like a weed in my untended garden so I never am completely green-less.
Laughter today: I am so excited for the day my little one starts talking but for now watching her run after a herd of geese carrying handfuls of sticks got me smiling :)
