Summer In a Box Giveaway

It’s time for a giveaway to celebrate warm weather & summertime!

To celebrate the start of warm weather and to help you go organic this summer, this Summer in a Box Giveaway should help put you in a summery, fun mood:

Ø        Two coupons for Stonyfield Frozen Yogurt Bars in two delicious flavors: Gotta Have Vanilla, and After Dark Chocolate.  These bars, made with organic milk, are dipped in rich dark chocolate, and contain four live and active cultures.  They’re the first dark chocolate dipped frozen yogurt bars on the market and they’re made with pure, organic ingredients. Because they’re certified organic, they’re produced without toxic pesticides, growth hormones, antibiotics or anything else that’s harmful to you or the environment. Each bar only has 170 calories —about 30% less than the leading ice cream bars.

Ø        Badger After-Sun Balm: A certified organic treat for sun-parched skin. Made with moisturizing plant butters and infused with soothing Blue Tansy and Lavender to make your skin feel smooth and leave you feeling calm.

Ø        Dr. Hauschka Melissa Day Cream: This new 100% natural moisturizer is perfect for combination skin.  Formulated with extracts of melissa (lemon balm), it smells like fresh squeezed lemonade.  Additionally, extracts of anthyllis, carrot, witch hazel and English daisy soothe, soften and even the complexion so shine is controlled and skin is moisturized.

The Badger and the Dr. H’s are both amazing smelling and truly awesome products! These alone should make you want to enter this giveaway.

Ø        Tom’s of Maine:  Simply White, the first and only clinically proven natural whitening toothpaste to earn an ADA seal, helps bring back the natural beauty of your smile.  The Daily Moisture Body Bar has an ultra-rich bar soap formula that contains premium moisturizing olive oil, natural vitamin E and leaves your skin clean and fresh. Beautiful Earth Deodorant works to inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria and its natural, refreshing fragrance helps mask odor.

Ø        Uncle Matt’s Organic Lemonade and Juices: By buying Uncle Matt’s fresh fruit and juice you’re helping more than 20 small growers that make up their family of farms. That’s one of the reasons they’re proud to be family owned and organically grown. Use this free coupon to pick up your choice of organic juice or lemonade and quench your thirst for summer!

To me, summer means the hope of rest, relaxation, sand between my toes, hours in the water, sun on my skin. It’s homemade ice cream and lime slushes. It’s time spent with friends on patios and icy cold beverages. It’s delicious. Just delicious.

    (I completed numbers 2 & 3 as well!)

I incorporate organics into my summer by only buying organic produce (in-season = less expensive and more delicious), dry goods, and frozen foods as much as possible.

I incorporate organics into my summer by going to the farmer’s market every saturday and sometimes sunday..we have some pretty nice farmer’s markets in Denver, although it does not seem to compare to the one you go to in San Diego!

To me, summer means taking the time to slow down and relax. With so much to do everyday, most of us tend to rush through life, and there’s something about the summer that makes us take it easy (maybe because it’s too hot not to?).

The beach! Sangria by the pool, reading a new novel every week, fresh produce from the farmer’s market that I’ve waited all year to have, fresh picked flowers from the garden, and the ice cream truck!

Summer to me means relaxation. Though I still have appointments and things to do there is a bit more of a relaxed tone to everything. Summer means going out for walks with my husband and spending time outdoors with my nieces and nephews at the park. Going to an outdoor music arena and perhaps even a vacation at some point.

Summer means lots and lots of WATERMELON and DH’s homemade pico de gallo!!!!

There’s also the heat and humidity that come with living in the deep south, but I’d rather focus on the positives. :-)

what a fun giveaway!! (esp dr. hauscka’s cream!)!
Summer (my fave season), for me…is like free-spirit…it’s the time of the year when you hear the kids playing outside at 7 pm and still bright out…it’s when you wear no make-up bc you’re always swimming/sunbathing, it’s when your cute toes are all pampered up and polished for showing off, it’s when eating delicious and fresh fruits happen more often, and most of all…lots of family gathering..sitting outside bbq-ing and having some cocktails…ahhh summer.

For me summer usually means lots of studying, be it summer school or big exams, and working. It also means sweating it out in the humidity, coming home from college, and living with my parents. Lets not forget the pitchers of iced green tea and the garden going craaazy.

I would LIKE summer to mean lots of time to be a bum in the sun, hang out with friends, and be stress free. A girl can dream.

Also, I’m following you on Instagram. Recently signed up thanks to your persuasions-love it!

What a fantastic giveaway. I love Tom’s of Maine (I live in Maine!) All of the produce I buy at the grocery store is organic (avocado, bananas, etc), and this summer I am GROWING my own kale, lettuces, garlic, tomatoes, eggplant, raspberries & blueberries… you can bet they are all organic (and talk about local). Summer to me means working outside in my garden, taking evening strolls along the beach with bare feet, and sipping refreshing drinks on the patio with friends.

When I think of summer I selfishly think of my birthday. I’m a July baby and when I was young growing up in small town Minnesota it was always difficult for my mom to get together my friends for a party. Instead she made the day special by baking an awesome cake, baked in a metal bowl then turned upside down and turned into a fancy skirt for a doll (kind of like this http://www.coolest-birthday-cakes.com/coolest-barbie-ball-gown-cake-150.html). Good times!

This summer I’ve been trying to buy mostly organic veggies and have found that I’m not spending that much more money than conventional produce. Also, I’ve really been making an effort to buy only organic clothing. That has been more of a challenge, but things are going pretty well. This is a great give away. Have a good weekend!
