Coffee Giveaway

Bird Rock Coffee Roasters of La Jolla, California recently won the 2012 Micro Roaster of the Year Award.  It’s the first time this award has gone to a local San Diego area coffee roaster.

Bird Rock Coffee Roasters sent me their Guatemala and Sumatra coffees to sample.  One word: amazing.   The quality, taste, everything about their coffee is first class, superb, and makes me want to drink myself into jittery oblivion.  So good.

In addition to just drinking as is, the coffee was lovely in homemade pumpkin spice lattes (vegan).

From their website, “At Bird Rock Coffee Roasters, we are all about quality: From the farmer to the beans, the roasting to the brewing, to our service, our relationship with our neighborhood and our impact on the environment. We are always striving for perfection. The green beans we seek must meet our high standards, and we roast and prepare this coffee with the utmost respect to those who grew it.”

I love coffee so much that I have a Coffee Reviews compilation post where I’ve mentioned dozens of varieties and brands of coffee.

And Bird Rock Coffee Roasters would like one lucky reader to win some coffee!  One bag of each of the coffee they sent me.

I brew at home and go to coffee shops — I like both equally although it is always nice to have someone else make coffee for you when it’s really early and/or cold in the morning!

I brew my own coffee 98% of the time… with a french press. I actually usually prefer my own coffee to coffee shop coffee.

I typically end up buying the target brand b/c I like some of their flavors and they don’t totally break the bank.

I don’t have my own coffee maker, but when I’m at my parents house, I LOVE their home-brewed coffee. I’m not a fan of “coffee shop” coffee, but maybe that’s just because I haven’t tried the right shop yet. I don’t really like Dunkin Donuts.

Oh yum this sounds like real good stuff! We brew coffee at home… It’s just so dang expensive to get coffee out. Usually the hubs and I will go out for a special coffee/tea date a few times a month though.

I often get my coffee beans from Bird Rock Coffee to brew at home. It’s a treat to take a walk, pick up my coffee beans, and grab a cup of their coffee for the walk back. They have soy milk out too which is a bonus. Yum.

My favorite brand of coffee is definitely Dunn Brothers, its a Minneapolis based company. I try to brew at home (usually less expensive coffee since I am in college) but I will admit, I go to Starbucks a lot. I just love coffee and college totally addicted me to it!

My favorite brand of coffee is Cups. It’s locally roasted coffee in Jackson, MS. I love their Guatemalan and Peru Organic blends. I brew at home usually, but I will occasionally grab a latte at a coffee shop if I want a treat.

I don’t have a favourite brand of coffee.

I usually buy beans and then grind them and brew at home during the week. On the weekends I occasionally pick up a coffee from a coffee shop.

I had to give up caffeine, sadly. Back in the day I loved to sample all the local coffees. I’m hoping to win these so I can give them to a Sumatra lover as a gift!
