Valentine’s Day Roundup & LinkUp
In advance of Valentine’s Day, I thought I’d showcase a few of the Valentine’s Day treats and eats I’ve seen floating around in just the past couple days. For a few weeks, I’ve seen so much that has me swooning, drooling, and wishing it was Valentine’s Day preseason forever because heart-shaped things are just too cute. And they taste better, too.

I could go on and on, but that should get you started.
What have you seen for Valentine’s Day either in food and recipes, housewares, clothing, or other fun items?
What, if anything, are you doing to celebrate Valentine’s Day? Are you celebrating this weekend or on the 14th?
We’re not doing anything “special”. We’re not going out for a fancy dinner (typically with mediocre prix fixe food in an over-crowded restaurant), we’re not drinking any wine or champagne, and there will be no long-stemmed roses and chocolates on the pillow.
Instead, there will be dinner at home (prepared by yours truly), apple juice will be as close to wine as we get, and instead of chocolates on the pillow, I may find some cookie crumbs or Barbie shoes.
And that’s actually fine because I have no desire to go out on V-Day. I’d rather stay in, enjoy the peace and quiet and time with my two Valentines, Scott and Skylar.
I’ve also included a LinkUp so if you’ve made anything, seen anything, or want to link up anything Valentine’s Day-related, feel free. Link up as many items as you want. Click on the Blue Button below to get started.
Happy Valentine’s Day Weekend!

I have quite a few Valentines treats, but I’ll stop at two ;)

You still have time…make your own linkup, there’s like 9898 recipes out there for red velvet things right now :)

Oh goodness, those red velvet cheesecake brownies look and sound absolutely delicious. I know what I’ll be making for V-Day. I just hope I can have enough self control to not eat the whole batch before the Hubs gets home :) Thanks for the round-up of good recipes, Averie! Oh and I love love love those Toms heart shoes. Seriously, does it get cuter than that? May have to gift those to myself.

I almost ordered those Tom’s Heart shoes, too…I still may…

Oh my gosh, if those Toms were in red instead of pink I’d want them on my feet right.NOW!
I hate Valentine’s Day (what can I say? I’m single. And I’ve worked as a server the past 4 Valentine’s. Pure torture), but I love heart shaped stuff.

I have to make some treats for my students for valentines day!! Eeeeek, didn’t even realize it was this Tuesday!

Hubby is working all weekend and on Valentine’s day so if we go out at all, it won’t be until next weekend. We have a great local chocolate company here, so some overpriced but incredibly good chocolate will probably fall into the plan somewhere. One of my hobbies is making jewelry so I am working on a ring with little rubies so that is my project…and it’s my present to myself so I’m excited to finish it.

Such a wonderful and delicious round-up Averie!

I think Valentine’s Day should just be renamed sugar heart day. It’s so much more universal and accurate these days, haha. Best part of holidays = the change in colors and shapes of food.

You got that right
the change in colors and shapes of food.
Easter, St Patricks Day, 4th of July…the colorful holidays are coming!
TGiving with it’s brown and oranges isn’t as “fun” or bright as Easter is :)

The heart whoopie pie pan is SO FUN! I have a large heart pan that I love around this time of year. I usually make a chocolate chip cookie cake in there which is great. I also have a silacone heart cake pan. One time I made my boyfriend a funfetti cake in their for breakfast : ) No Valentine’s day plans for us. We are having a quiet weekend. Hoping by next week we are in a litlte more of a celebrating mood.

Ooh I love all these cute finds! All the baked goods look delicious and I absolutely love the heart Tom’s! Thanks for sharing :)

Wow those are so cute!! I want to make those red velvet brownies or that super adorable cake!

I seriously love everything on this list! TOMS are just about the best shoes ever :)
For V-day, I don’t like the big restaurant thing either. We are going for brunch tomorrow morning and will likely cook dinner together on Tuesday. Hope you have a great one!

Wow look at all those treats! We don’t really celebrate either. Every once in a while we might go out to eat somewhere really fancy, but not this year. Does doing house repair count as celebrating???? LOL

those brownie heart cookies..ahh so adorable! too bad I do not have a whoopee pan.
I really want to make your pb&J thumbprints as well. I suppose now is as good a time as any :) yum!

Oh my…where do I start!?

OMG these all look AMAZING!!!

I would always rather stay at home for a holiday than go out. Overpriced food and packed houses? So not us. Staying in and watching a good rom-com is about as crazy as we’re going to get. Maybe we’ll even watch two movies! Ha!

That first cake looked amazing! Wish I could make my cakes look that good.

What a fun post with lots of great goodies and inspiration! I’ve seen a lot of tempting sweet chocolaty recipes that look amazing, but I doubt I’ll have time to make any of them! :-P Instead, hubby and I will be having a simple, chill night out.

That Love Day cake is amazing! I can make delicious cakes, but they’re not even close to pretty. Oh my!

My favorite comfort food is mac and cheese :)

Okay, this post is total food porn. I wish I could host a Valentine’s Day party just to make some of this stuff! This year I’ll just be hanging out with a good friend, getting dessert and seeing The Vow. I’m excited though- it’s my first single Valentine’s in three years, so there’s no pressure!!

You’re so welcome and I wish it was heart-shaped season forever. Somehow red white and blue food or green food (St Paddy’s Day), isn’t as fun as pink and red heart food for me :)

What a great round-up, I love those iPhone cases! Thanks for sharing my brownies :) We’ll celebrate V-Day on Tuesday. I’ll probably cook a nice meal and we’ll just relax together, maybe watch a movie!

I could have included like 17 of your red velvet goodies but stopped myself b/c I didn’t want to be a picture thief and just plaster too many of your gorgeous pics up on my site since I didnt have time to ask you first!

Linkup…this is only my second one ever but they’re fun and not sure why this one doesn’t have thumbnails included. I clearly didn’t check the proper boxes when grabbing the HTML code. lol
