Sprinklebakes Cookbook Giveaway

I have been waiting for the release of Heather Baird’s cookbook, Sprinklebakes, for what feels like an eternity.

Heather is the mastermind behind some of the most creative, beautiful, and awe-inspiring desserts I have ever seen.

From No-Bake Strawberry Milk Cheesecake

To Peanut Butter Mousse in Tuile Cookie Spoons, the way her brain works and what she comes up with just blows me away.

I think of her as a food artist who has surgeon’s hands. I am amazed as how she pulls some of these things off!

She also photographs her food with such amazing talent and skill that I literally drool over recipes such as Coca-Cola Cupcakes and Salted Peanut Butter Frosting while gazing at the stunning images.

Her cookbook was just released on May 1 and it’s chock full of amazing new recipes, coupled with her gorgeous photography.

You want this book. You need this book.

One lucky reader will win a copy of Heather’s book, Sprinklebakes

Honestly, my favorite dessert would have to be a completely loaded brownie sundae, with dense, fudgy brownies, peanut butter sauce, rich hot fudge, and homemade whipped cream. Gotta have it all!

The most beautiful food I’ve ever made was a pastel rainbow cake with a buttercream Icing. It was simple but so beautiful when you saw all seven layers after cutting into it.

I’m not a fancy baker, so I’m hard pressed to think of the most beautiful dessert I’ve ever made. Probably the top five would include key lime pie, which sometimes I decorate with piped whipped cream, which looks fancy or my lemon squares and cupcakes I made once for my son’s school bake sale. They were just from a box but I piled on the frosting and doused them liberally with rainbow sprinkles. They flew off the bake sale table.
But I would like to make my desserts more attractive. I should make that a culinary goal maybe for 2013.

But Ben & Jerry’s ‘Berry Voluntary’ is almost just as good. Oh yeah, and ‘Volun-Tiramisu’ is my second favorite. Desserts, desserts, desserts. I just love ALL desserts!

My fav dessert of all time is the latest great dessert that is in front of me at the moment. Now, knowing that it is going to be a very warm weekend, (90 degrees) I am dreaming of a homemade strawberry-lemon gelato in a cup with prosecco poured over the top!

I made a really lovely champagne cake with lemon and limoncello icing. It was tasty and quite pretty. Never underestimate the beauty of a well put together layer cake.

The banoffee pie I had (2 nights in a row) on my honeymoon in Scotland was out of this world……!

The cutest things I ever baked were all the intricately decorated cakes I made when my kids were in school………I can’t even count the hours I put into piping figures in icing swimming pools, sleeping bags, pirate ships, etc. Now my friends and I look back and think we were CRAZY to spend so many hours on cakes that would be cut up after a few minutes of admiration!

I love whimsical ideas and still make cookies that are decorated like slices of watermelon, boxes of crayons, etc.

The most beautiful dessert I have ever made was a three layer coconut cake. I think the beauty was part the cake but part that it brought back a flood of childhood memories :)

    Cheers!!
