I love my Silpat baking mats. They’ve transformed the way I cook and bake.
As I explained in this post, the Silpat mat gives cookies something to grip and gives them traction while baking.
Cookies baked on Silpat baking mats spread less.
Not to mention, things just don’t stick to Silpats. Parchment paper and foil are fine, but whenever possible, I use my Silpats.
Vanilla Cake Batter and White Chocolate Chip Caramel Corn would have been a hot mess to make on anything other than a Silpat.
Caramel sauce, metal baking sheets, and hot ovens make for elbow grease city unless you have a Silpat.
The same could be said for roasting grapes. Who wants to scrape baked grape juice and oil from a baking sheet? Not I.
On a Silpat, cleanup was effortless. Wipe with a paper towel and rinse with a little soapy water. Done in 6 seconds.
I am not being paid to endorse Silpat and in full disclosure they sent me a spare baking mat, but Silpats (and using a $3.99 cookie scoop and chilling my cookie dough) have transformed my cookie baking results for the better. I’ve talked about my most cherished baking supplies in this post.
Aside from cookie baking, Silpats make life in the kitchen much easier since nothing sticks and cleanup issues are non-existent.
Some recent recipes I’ve made on my Silpat Baking Mats include:
Pina Colada White Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies
Mounds Bar Chocolate Coconut Cake Mix Cookies
Coconut Oatmeal Toffee Cookies – with Heath Bar Bits, Chocolate Chips, and Butterscotch Chips (melted toffee posed no sticking issues)
Apricot Butterscotch Peanut Butter-Filled Sandwich Cookies
Strawberry Cake Mix Cookies with Cream Cheese Frosting

I’d make Andes Mints chocolate chip cookies first!
i’d make chocolate crackle cookies, because they always stick so much!
What would I make first on a Silpat? Cookies cookies cookies cookies. Any kind of cookies. Maybe even bread? What would a Silpat do for the crust of my soda bread boule?

My biggest baking challenge is macarons. Can’t wait to nail it!
I followed you on instagram. The no cook fudge looks deeeelicious.
Probabley some chocolate chip cookies. And then I would most likely whip up everything in the house and be amazed at how nothing sticks and comes out perfectly. I will definitely have to make some roasted chickpeas as well.
my biggest challenge is making sure my baked goods do not come out too dry!
My biggest challenge is finding the right pan to bake with (nonstick dark, aluminum . . .) so my cookies are chewy and not burnt on the bottom.
