Capresso Espresso and Cappuccino Machine Giveaway

I recently received this Capresso EC100 Pump Espresso and Cappuccino Machine ($149.99 value)

Would you like to create new and delicious gourmet coffee beverages quickly and easily at home with this stainless-steel lined beauty?

Frothing and steaming milk has never been simpler with two frothing positions for making lattes or cappuccinos.

Features and Benefits

  • Stainless-steel lined ThermoBlock heating system with 15 bar pressure for perfect high-pressure brewed espresso; water never comes in contact with aluminum
  • Removable 46 oz. water container for easy filling
  • Self-locking filter holder with thumbguard
  • Two sieves to produce one or two rich, thick crema espressos at a time
  • Single sieve for use with pre-packed espresso pods or pre-ground coffee
  • Unlimited steam output produces hot frothed milk for cappuccino and latte
  • Separate frothing positions for steamed milk (latte) and frothed milk (cappuccino)
  • Removable heavy-duty stainless steel cup warming platform
  • Indicator lights for “On/Off” and “Coffee/Steam”
  • Easy to clean removable stainless drip tray
  • One year limited warranty

How does it work?

This is a dual frother machine with two parts.

There is a Frothing Sleeve for cappuccinos and when the Frothing Sleeve is removed, it reveals the Steam Tube for lattes.

Frothing: Frothing Sleeve is in place over the steam tube. Hot steam and air are injected into the milk. The air will swirl inside the milk creating silky dense froth on top of the milk, ideal for a cappuccino.

Steaming only: Frothing Sleeve is removed to reveal the Steam Tube. Only hot steam will be injected into the milk, ideal for a latte.

This machine is solidly built, makes great drinks, and the sky is the limit with the specialty drinks I’ll be making for years to come using it.

I’ve never met a cup of coffee or specialty coffee drink I don’t like:

Pumpkin Spice Latte

My two favorite specialty drinks to order from coffee shops are “dirty” soy chai tea lattes, a chai tea latte made with soy milk and a shot of espresso. My other favorite drink to other is a cappuccino, simple but delicious and perfect!

I live North of Boston but I’m spending a lot of my time in West Africa as a consultant. It’s almost impossible to get good coffee out here in Sierra Leone…it’s all freeze dried nescafe. When I get home to the States, the first thing I do is go to my favorite coffee shop and order a large cappuccino. I’m a total sucker for foam, so if I had my own machine I’d be making cappuccinos all of the time :)

The first drink I would make with this would be a Pumpkin Spice Latte, since it’s my husband’s favorite specialty drink. I’d probably try your recipe, since I’ve never made one before!

I would totally make a mint mocha cappuccino or latte, depending on what I’m in the mood for. Or vanilla or pumpkin spice or maybe even a vanilla chai latte or… yep, too many possibilities already.

    Yuuuuuuuuum.

I’d probably stick with the basics, like a cappuccino. However, my *favorite* coffee drink of all time is a soy latte with a pump of vanilla, so I’d like to replicate that.

That’s made also using vanilla soy milk, so it’s really rich, creamy and vanilla-y. :)

I adore macchiatos! The amount of money I spend at Starbucks over their caramel macchiatos is a pretty insane amount. I’d love to try your caramel macchiato recipe that you posted a while back – it looked so delicious!

the first drink I’d make would be ANYTHING my brother wanted… we are very sad today :(

Kev had an old espresso maker that wasn’t sealing anymore, and when we moved I gave him my old one, but … it is old also. he would be ecstatic if I won this, because I would give it to him!
