LeCreuset Enamaled Cast Iron Skillet Giveaway

I recently received this Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 10-1/4-Inch Skillet with Iron Handle

I’ve wanted a LeCreuset enameled cast iron skillet for years and I am absolutely in love with it. The Marseille blue color is absolutely stunning and it makes me happy just gazing at it. But it makes me even happier cooking with it.

Recently I broke in my new skillet and made this Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Oatmeal Skillet Cookie in it.

The cookie is my new favorite cookie combining my three favorite cookies into one: chocolate chip, peanut butter, and oatmeal so that I don’t have to choose between favorites.

And the skillet is my new favorite skillet.

I can’t wait to make everything from frittata to quick breads and cakes to vegetable stir fries to baked tofu in it.

Features and benefits:

  • Heavyweight fry pan requires very little oil, making it an excellent choice for low-fat cooking
  • Enameled cast-iron construction provides superior heat retention
  • Goes from stovetop to oven
  • Optimized for steady, even heat, Le Creuset’s improved enamel interior resists staining, dulling, and wear and tear
  • Black enamel interior requires no additional seasoning, unlike other cast-iron cookware
  • Enamel won’t react to foods
  • New large loop helper handle facilitates lifting the pan and provides a better grip even while wearing oven mitts.
  • Integral iron handle; easy-grip helper handle
  • 10-1/4-inch enameled cast-iron skillet with 1-3/4-quart capacity
  • Chip-and crack-resistant
  • Limited lifetime warranty

This would be perfect…I want to get rid of my non-stick skillet I got when we were married 10 years ago. I would love to make that amazing cookie thing you made in yours for breakfast with my coffee!

Oh my! Pretty skillet. A batch of Socca with fresh herbs right outside my backdoor :) ( http://www.pure2raw.com/2010/09/making-socca-in-a-skillet-not-baked/ ). Socca has quickly become a favorite as I am gluten free, and this is fast and easy. Seeing that beautiful batter in that gorgeous blue skillet, oh yeah!

I’ve never made desserts in the skillet so that would be a great first use if I won. Thanks for the giveaway!

Joined your Twitter yesterday on my iTouch. Couldn’t get it to tweet for me yesterday, but I did manage to get it to tweet today! BTW, I am super excited about the SunflowerBars! I’ve always wanted to make some bars like this but didn’t know how. I’m also not a super sweet lover, so something mildly sweet is right up my alley! Thank you for posting that recipe!

My husband and I are on the hunt for better pans and skillets. Cast iron is starting to catch our eyes and make us drool over the endless possibilities. This would be a wonderful addition to our newly started collection.
