Pair of Deluxe Kitchen Spatulas Giveaway

The Spatula by GIR is my new favorite little kitchen tool and new favorite spatula.

Created for both cooking and baking, the GIR Spatula is designed to mix, stir, fold and sauté foods at any temperature.

Made from heavy-duty molded silicone, it is heat-resistant up to 464°F. Its sturdy, non-slip handle does not get hot to the touch, melt, or burn when used for high-heat cooking.

What I like most about it is it’s strong but flexible blade that provides the optimum balance between flexibility and firmness, helping me to tackle dry mixes and wet batters, scrape bowls, and manipulate solids and liquids in pans, bowls, pots and plates. It allows me get in nooks and crannies, like under the rim of a can of sweetened condensed milk or under the blade of my food processor, and are great for spreading batter into tight corners of baking pans.

Dishwasher-Safe and nearly indestructible. Its unibody silicone construction makes it easy to clean and super sanitary; there are no nooks or crevices for food to get caught in.

Available in eleven bright and vibrant colors

I use spatulas every day, all day. I have half a dozen dirty at any point, making recipes like these:

Banana Bread Brownies with Vanilla Caramel Glaze – My favorite banana bread recipe

The Best Lemon Bars – My favorite lemon bars

I use spatulas all the time, but it’s a pain to wash them b/c I need to pull it apart to make sure there’s no guck stuck inside of it. I used a spatula earlier today to cook my minced garlic b/c I don’t want to scratch my pans up. These spatulas would be ideal b/c it’s in one piece and so many pretty colors to choose from.

The first thing I would make would be ricotta cheesecake (it’s my favorite dessert). I don’t have the recipe handy, but this one is very similar: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/sicilian-ricotta-cheesecake/detail.aspx?event8=1&prop24=SR_Title&e11=ricotta%20cheesecake&e8=Quick%20Search&event10=1&e7=Home%20Page

I love spatulas when I bake in order to clean the sides of my bowls and beaters, but I also love a spatula when I’m spreading frosting or getting mayo out of jar when it’s at the very lowest part of the jar.

You can never have too many spatulas, especially the way I use them. I guess I’m not particularly delicate, because I seem to snap one clear in half every 6 months or so. It would be great if I could find one that could hold up to that sort of heavy use!

Brownies! Our whole family are brownie addicts, and that’s what I’ve worn out so many spatulas on. From mixing them to scrapping the bowl to get most :) of the batter into the pan, to really cleaning the bowl out for those yummy batter licks, I’m looking forward to a new spatula!

I use my spatula every day, to make bread and pizzadough, cupcakes, brownies…or cranberry-white chocolate cookies!! My adored favourite spatula (big, red, with white dots) had to stay with my mumma when I moved out, I miss it very much. A red one would be perfect, the white one I have now is kinda sad..or purple?! Aww, purple..

I use spatulas every day, too. Most of the time it is for a cake batter, cookies or just some creation I’m trying to mix up. My spatulas bend with the lightest batter and it makes it so hard to actually get the batter down off the sides of the bowl. I could really use these, they are beautiful and I love kitchen doo-dads!!

And your lemon bars of course!!!!
So here’s the funny thing about this giveaway: I totally broke my spatula the other day. I was working on some rather sturdy dough and the handle just snapped. So I need these!! NEED.
