So far no plans for Valentines Day, my husband and I aren’t usually big on celebrating that day but the anniversary of our engagement is the day before so we try to do a little something special. I will probably end up making him some cookies as a treat, we have a new baby so I’m not sure if we’ll be able to get out just the two of us that night!

  8. Hmm, well, for me Valentine’s day mostly includes dodging the kissing couples at school, which is quite enough on my plate. No special cooking plans, but I’m looking for a nice chocolatey recipe to give to my friends!

  10. Hubby and I always spend valentines day in. Our tradition is to cook dinner and dessert together and then watch a movie :)

  17. I was thinking some strawberry cupcakes for the kids then I realized my youngest is leaving for Florida on Valentine’s Day. Lucky child! I am also thinking a variety of cookies would be great to share with friends and loved ones–especially the cranberry and white chocolate chip cookies.

  18. I have no plans for vtines day! As it falls in the middle of the week no doubt hubby will have to work late.

  24. Valentines Day is also my wedding anniversary. My husband and I will celebrate our 19th anniversary with dinner and a movie!

  27. Valentines Day for me is all about spending quality time with the husband. This year I will probably surprise him with a gourmet French dinner that he’s never had before, since I’m French. I’m thinking Coq au vin, aka Chicken with wine. yum! Recipe here:

  29. I always make heart-shaped sugar cookies and frost/decorate them. My kids are all grown up but they still like having special cookies on Valentine’s Day. :)

  35. Valentine’s Day is our anniversary. We usually take a mini vacation then. I was very sick when we were married and we did not get a honeymoon. It will be sixteen years this year and my sweet hubby has taken me on a mini vacation every year since. He promised he would and he comes through every year. He married me knowing I would need lots of care then and life has been so good since. Love him so much!
