Woah, I need to get in on that chia pudding action!!

And isn't the cocoa powder amazing? Bitter and sweet at the same time! I am also in love with that vanilla stevia stuff.

Your hot cocoa sounds delish. Good call on the second cup!

    Happy Halloweeeeeeeenn!

  2. OH OH I can do that pose! no sweat! shew..one that didn't cause me to put the cat in mortal danger!

I have been eating so awesome lately and I guess knowing I can have a treat makes it easier and DELICIOUS.
    THANKS AVE!!!

I made veg tacos tonight and seeds are roasted from pumpkin #1 (Hubs carved one while I was at work…STINKER)

and YAMS just came out of the oven too!

    Happy Halloween EVE!
    Tomorrow should be fun!

  3. Averie, do you get your chia seeds from the link you posted? I can't find them anywhere! Hope you guys have a great Halloween tomorrow. :)

    yayy!!

you always amaze me.. honestly.. you just keep pulling such AMAZING chocolaty vegan desserts out of the air.. pure brilliance.

  6. We are trick or treating in my mom's neighborhood this Halloween. We go over there to eat/hang out, and then Jacob (and now Hayden, too) can make the rounds with his cousins.

I could go for the hot cocoa tonight, too, although it will be near 70 degrees. I love anything cocoa. I put cinnamon and cayenne in mine.

  7. I am not a Vegan, but love learning and it gets me closer to eating healthier each day.

We are going to friends. it is a rainy day in Georgia, not looking so good for the kids. :(

I will try the dark chocolate cocoa!

  8. I can't blog right now because my laptop has a virus so is in for repairs, and using someone else's. BUT, I finally tried chia- I used 2 tbsp plus 1/2 cup of my me and Goji cereal…soaked the whole thing in 1/2 cu of milk overnight expecting it t go thick and creamy, and NOTHING happened! I ended up cooking it but still no gel-like texture. What kind of seeds do you use? I got a single serve sample pack from Greens +…am on the lookout for them in the UK o experiment more. Your pudding looks delish!

  9. Awesome job with the Vegan Mofo – even if you would have done it anyway, it's still a great accomplishment!!!!

    Happy Halloween!

(I was kinda surprised you didn't have pets – I would have thought a cat or something)

  10. YAA glad you enjoyed your award I passed along.. no rush.. you're like the award queen.

Good tip on the hot cocoa… At work a few days ago pple were drinking swiss miss crap and I was like man I want a NON dairy hot chocolate. Good thinking!

Hope Greens and Jeans contacts you.. that would be fun to meet up!! :)

  11. That Cocoa Chia pudding looks like chocolate tapioca and also looks DELISH! I have some Hershey's Dark cocoa powder in my cupboard just begging to be used… looks like I'm having pudding tonight!

I'll be home passing out refined sugar to all the neighborhood kids like a good neighbor.

    Have a great Halloween!!
    xoxo
    Berni

  20. Guiltless is right! Totally gonna remember this one for the next time I need a chocolate fix and am out of choc almond milk. The flavored stevia is such a good idea too.

The chocolate donut holes were DA' BOMB and I'm totally making them again. In fact, I'm fairly sure I don't ever need to buy a Larabar again, I'm going to start making these in large batches and ready to go for easy peasy snacks on the road.

    Averie Rocks CHA CHA CHA!

  21. I cannot get enough of chocolate, and have been wanting great hot cocoa for days. Thanks for the great post!

  22. I cannot get enough of chocolate, and have been wanting great hot cocoa for days. Thanks for the great post!

  23. i always add unsweetened cocoa to my coffee, (which to me is technically water) guilt free nonetheless.

and i must get myself into this chia seed pudding action.

  24. I just came across your blog and can I say thank you.
Just seeing your healthy way of living with a good balance of fitness, food and family really inspired me to continue with my recovery from an ED.

    Love your blog,
    Katie.

  25. I know you're not drinking now, but hot chocolate and kahlua is on the agenda for tonight. Festive!

That chia pudding looks so good. I've only made it once, and it was amazing. I didn't use cocoa, but that sounds so good! I've been looking all over for bulk chia seeds… they're a little less expensive than the pre-packaged kind.

Love your yoga. Thanks for the tips… I really want to get back into it again. A couple months I was so good, going twice a week… but then I guess I just got frustrated. I wish I could take classes with you!

    Happy Halloween, Averie & co!
