Chip-fecta

Between yesterday and today, I hit the trifecta of baking chips:

Chocolate

Butterscotch

and look what Trader Joe’s has in stock…

White Chocolate Chips!

White Baking Chips bagsThey are only seasonally available in my area and based on both price and taste, they are hands down my favorite white chocolate chip.

Other brands are either more expensive or a bit larger than I like to use.  I don’t usually enjoy baking with “chunks”.   I prefer chips and these are the perfect size for most recipes.  I stock up seasonally but I had run out of  my stash recently.  Oh the horrors, I know.

White chocolate chips are in Peanut Butter Oatmeal White Chocolate Cookies and these cookies also use Peanut Butter chips  <– Another favorite,  mmm, good.  I guess that makes this post the quad-fecta of chips.

Yes, when it comes to baking chips, I get around.

And I may have picked up this, too.

Thanks for compliments on the Candy Corn Cookie Dough Pretzel Bites

Candy Corn Cookie Dough Pretzel Bites

I know not everyone loves candy corn, but if you do, these are no-bake and easy.  You can swap out the candy corn with something else when you’re mixing up the cookie dough.  Maybe add some baking chips.

What’s your favorite kind of baking chip?  Semi-sweet, milk, dark, cocao nibs, chunks, mini, peanut butter, white, butterscotch, toffee bits or sprinkles (not actually chips but fun)?

It’s ok if you don’t actually bake with them and instead keep a stash of semi-sweet chocolate chips in the freezer and dive into said stash as a midnight snack.   Not that I would know or anything.

Thanks for the KeVita Drinks Giveaway entries, too

  1. I just like regular, semi-sweet chocolate chips. They are the only kinds of chocolate chips that I typically use.
