  8. Finals! There’s not much I’ve found that will help reduce stress, but I always make sure to give myself breaks when I’m feeling burnt out, and I try my best to get ahead and start studying early (this one is much easier said than done).

  10. Tis the time of the year of final exams. That combined with the darkness and all the holiday parties, means that I’m not feeling as fit as I’d like to, which adds to stress.

  13. My major stresses this time of year are sleep deprivation and work- we have to get everything done before the holiday break!

    Exercise is the best way to reduce stress for me, especially yoga. I finish a great long yoga workout with deep breathing and meditation to really clear my mind.

  15. Just like everyone else–money! It’s worth it in the end when you see someone really like what you got/made for them. Usually taking some time to just sit on the couch or lie on my bed and read a book for an hour, with a view of the outdoors, makes me calm down.

  21. I get stressed with money. There are a lot of “extras” during the month of December which throws our budget a little out of whack. To ease my stress, my husband and I sit down and figure out how much money we’ll spend on what throughout the month to make it all work. It always does work out, it just helps when we have it on paper!

  23. Sometimes the easiest and most effective stress reducing technique (for me anyway) is to close my eyes, count to ten, and take a few deep breaths. It looks completely bizarre, especially in a public place such as the grocery store or work, but sometimes i just need those twenty seconds to regroup.

  27. Wow, great giveaway. EVERYTHING stresses me out this time of year, but especially family. I’ve just never been close to them, and relations tend to be even more strained during the holidays… =/

  28. I am still a graduate student, and by the end of the semester I always seem totally run down and tired. Even with my tasty vegan diet and 25-30 miles a week of running, the stress of school, a long distance relationship, and moving has gotten to me. Running helps, but the best therapy, I think, is many cups of tea, snuggling my cat, and knitting!
