Special K Granola Bars Giveaway

Special K just launched their first ever Special K Granola Bars in Dark Chocolate and Chocolatey Peanut Butter.

Both flavors are excellent; chewy, chocolate, and peanut butter can do no wrong in my book.

Special K Granola Bars deliver lower calories and fat (3g of fat and 110 calories) than some other bars on the market.

They have 4g of fiber and 4g of protein and they’re a convenient for refueling on-the-go.

I always keep a snack bar in my purse and one stashed in the car for those must-have-something-now moments that can strike without warning. for either me or the little peanut.

I try to make homemade snack bars to save money and control the ingredients whenever possible.

Here are a few favorites:

Microwave Chocolate Peanut Butter & Oat Snack Bars (vegan, GF, soy-free) – small batch, makes just 3 bars

Did I mention I love Special K cereal?

Yes, I am a huge fan and one of my all-time favorite desserts are my Grandma’s Special K Bars (No-Bake).

I grew with eating these gooey bars made with peanut butter, butter, Special K, and chocolate.

  1. My favorite cereal when I was younger was Kix or Cinnamon Toast Crunch and ESPECIALLY Raisin Nut Bran. I have it on my list to cook some of my own granola bars very soon!

  2. I’ve tried Special K Bars a few times, but I never buy them. However, when someone offers one up at work or at a friend’s house, I will gladly accept the offer. They are comfortably filling and pleasantly satisfying. Those new flavors sound right up my alley. If I want a lighter snack bar, I usually grab a Clif Kids Z Bar. Ice Oatmeal Cookie and Honey Graham are my favorites. In college, I would buy the chocolate Special K and just eat the chocolate pieces out the box. The Special K plan did not work for me. I cheated. Obviously.

  3. As boring as this may sound, one of my favorite kinds of cereal is anything BRAN! Ever since I was little, I’ve loved raisin bran, bran flakes, All-Bran, you name it! :)
