LeCreuset Enamaled Cast Iron Skillet Giveaway

I recently received this Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 10-1/4-Inch Skillet with Iron Handle

I’ve wanted a LeCreuset enameled cast iron skillet for years and I am absolutely in love with it. The Marseille blue color is absolutely stunning and it makes me happy just gazing at it. But it makes me even happier cooking with it.

Recently I broke in my new skillet and made this Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Oatmeal Skillet Cookie in it.

The cookie is my new favorite cookie combining my three favorite cookies into one: chocolate chip, peanut butter, and oatmeal so that I don’t have to choose between favorites.

I can’t wait to make everything from frittata to quick breads and cakes to vegetable stir fries to baked tofu in it.

  6. I love making cornbread in a cast iron skillet. I usually add one or more of the following:
    Corn, flax seeds, shredded summer squash, cheese, onions, peppers, pumpkin seeds toasted, cumin, cilantro.

  14. I would make your recipe about but a vegan version. I am creating a list of vegan recipes for my daughter who dreams of opening a vegan cafe :)

  15. I would roast anything in the oven. Right now, I’d concentrate on garlic, onions and winter squash. Now, for the stove top, I’d sautee one of my favorite dishes. I use a bit of olive oil and place in a chopped onion and 2 cloves of garlic. Then I throw in a bag of frozen choppped broccoli and a bag of frozen spinach. I cook until it just gets hot all the way through and add frozen or fresh white corn which gives it the perfect texture. I serve this plain or on a baked potato. You could also serve with quinoa or brown rice. It takes all of 5-10 minutes and it is awesome. Don’t overcook–unless you like it a bit mushy. I love the veggies with a bit of crunch. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  16. I have been wanting this skillet for a long time. I have always had a hard time making really crispy chicken. Might just be this skillet is what I need and then on to some serious dessert.
