  5. It’s amazing how many different sorts of bars there are on the market now! I really thought I had heard of them all, but this brand is completely new to me. It looks good and I’d sure love to give it a try.

    My favorite snack bar is the berry flavor by Chia Warrior. They’re just the perfect little compact bites of energy, and so easy to eat. I always have one or two with me in my bag!

  11. I don’t really seem to have an all time favorite bar… I love so many of them, especially homemade date or bean based bars/balls. But if I went with store bought probably KIND bars.

  13. Its hard to find good tasting bars without a whole lot of artificial stuff, so I usually prefer home made snacks like nut butters with greek yogurt, etc, but these bars look great!

  24. I loooove Think Thin protein bars! The peanut butter is my favorite to eat with an apple but there’s also chocolate, mocha, white chocolate, many more! I also am getting into making my own granola because it’s super easy and I know exactly what goes in it! Really all you need is a little vegetable oil, and then add whatever else you want! Peanut butter, cocoa, craisins, nuts, pumpkin, coconut… :)

  26. One of my favorite bars is made from sesame seeds, walnuts, raisins, cinnamon, sea salt, and vanilla beans. These bars are super easy to whip up, and they not only taste great but are also really nutritious!

  29. I make homemade granola with oats, chia, raw quinoa, olive oil, maple or honey, and then add in whatever I’ve got in the house (chopped dates, walnuts, etc.)

I was so ready to move out of the typical bodybuilder protein bar category, They are so not good for you and try something that suits my lifestyle of subtle weight training, yoga, barre and pilates. As an aside I live on the block where you lived in Phoenix. I used to see you all the time with your family but didn’t feel comfortable coming up to you. I’m a certified personal trainer and health coach but do it for myself these days although I’m still in the industry. I am always inspired by what you write. Have read your blog from the early days. I miss seeing Phoenix from your perspective.

    I’ve tried Lara Bars ( so so ) but do like The Raw Revolution Bars especially the Spirulina Dream and Golden Cashew. I am very anxious to try Barre Bars.

  31. My favorite snack bar of all time is Luna Bars. I love the variety of flavors (my current favorite is Peanut Honey Pretzel) and it’s just enough to keep me going throughout the day without feeling heavy. I am a dancer and have been wanting to try Barre Food Bars for so long, but they do not sell them anywhere near me which is a shame! I am sure if I won they would quickly become my new favorite ;)

  34. My favourite granola bar would be the ones from Quaker. It’s really good! Occassionally I go for the Kellogg’s ones but I always revert back to the ones from Quaker because they are so, so good!

  47. They probably don’t qualify, but I really like the Kit’s Organic bars by Clif – they taste better than LaraBars and have all organic ingredients. I’m working my way up!
