One of my favorite things to make in my Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker are these Bourbon Maple Slow Cooker Baked Beans.

Unlike many baked bean recipes that start out with a pound of bacon fat, these are vegan, but are still packed with incredible depth of flavor.

Bourbon, maple syrup, brown sugar, molasses, BBQ sauce intensify and concentrate over time, and the resulting beans have incredible depth of flavor.

They’re sweet with a bit of heat, robust yet smooth, and extremely satisfying.

And most of all, they’re easy and nearly work-free thanks to my Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker.

  1. I would love to try and make a dessert in a crockpot. I’ve tried triple chocolate mess but would love to try others.

    1. I had the shortribs in the freezer for at least 2 months, as I was going to try and use the iStir Crockpot that I never used in 6 months. That was when I got it. I need to learn how to….. with everything esp since Mom fell and cannot do things on her own and is almost 91 yrs old. Please, I need to try to learn as all foods out there ate really junk.

  2. I just love to use my crock pot, but it needs to be replaced badly. I think I have had it since I went to college in the 70’s – a faithful friend. I love to make soups, stews and chili this time of year. And I would like to learn how to make a whole roast chicken or pot roast in The Crock-Pot Programmable Slow Cooker with iStir system. Crossing my fingers!
