Easy Apple Cider Drink Recipe

I look at sangria as a way to get creative. No rules, think outside the box, and that’s exactly what I did with this apple cider drink.

Apples, oranges, pomegranate seeds, cinnamon sticks, and rather than using wine or champagne, I used sparking apple cider (non-alcoholic) and Lipton Green Tea Citrus flavor iced tea.

The combination of the sparkling apple cider and the green tea are perfect together. The sangria is sweet enough that my daughter enjoyed it, but it’s not overly sweet. It’s easy, very refreshing, and I really liked the two flavors together but you could always add a bottle of bubbly rather than the sparkling cider for an adults-only party.

I made a half-batch of the recipe below by first adding the fruit to my pitcher and then topping off with liquid. If you’re serving this for a larger party, make the recipe as written. Whether you’re having a party of two or eight, you’re set.

After all, sharing special moments with friends and family is what life is about.

For my daughter, that special moment involved happily diving in for the pomegranate seeds with her fingers that were at the bottom of her glass after she finished drinking.
