Set it and forget it. How good does that sound in this season of fussy holiday cookies and complicated menu plans.
It sounds pretty darn amazing to me.
Anything that helps save time in the kitchen, or enables me to have one dinner ready and waiting, or have an appetizer or even dessert practically made for me, the happier I am.
It’s possible with the newest and most innovative Crock-Pot® Programmable Slow Cooker with iStir™ Stirring System. iStir™ does the stirring for you so you don’t have to.
With the slow cooker’s countdown digital timer and automatic stirring, you are provided the convenience of preparing food with perfect results, even if you are not in the kitchen.
Simply prepare ingredients, set cook time and attach the motor housing with proper paddle in place. Choose the general purpose paddle for soup and chili or the stew paddle for thick stew and more dense dishes.
After an initial 2-hour delay, the stirring self-activates every 30 minutes to ensure thorough mixing and even heating until turned off.
- 6-quart capacity
- Serves 6-8+ people
- Includes iStirTM Automatic stirring system with two removable stirring paddles: general purpose paddle and stew paddle
- Also includes removable Classic Lid Handle for stirless cooking
- Programmable control panel with digital countdown timer allows you to set cooking time anywhere between 30 minutes to 20 hours
- HIGH/LOW temperature settings
- Automatically shifts to WARM when cooking is complete
- Removable oval stoneware
- Dishwasher-safe stoneware and glass lid
- Polished, silver stainless steel exterior with black accents and plastic handles
- Makes great holiday gifts
One of my favorite things to make in my Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker are these Bourbon Maple Slow Cooker Baked Beans.
Unlike many baked bean recipes that start out with a pound of bacon fat, these are vegan, but are still packed with incredible depth of flavor.
Bourbon, maple syrup, brown sugar, molasses, BBQ sauce intensify and concentrate over time, and the resulting beans have incredible depth of flavor.
They’re sweet with a bit of heat, robust yet smooth, and extremely satisfying.
And most of all, they’re easy and nearly work-free thanks to my Crock-Pot® Slow Cooker.
One lucky winner will receive the new Crock-Pot® Programmable Slow Cooker with iStir™ Stirring System
Winner will be notified by email and will have 24 hours to reply, at which point another winner will be selected if winner does not reply. Open to US-only.

My go-to crock pot recipe is fiesta chicken: chicken breasts, taco spice mix, salsa, beans, corn, peppers and onions. Foolproof and so delicious!
cholent (a slow cooked Shabbat stew)
I love making pot roast in the crock pot. It always comes out tender. I would like to try making some vegetarian recipes and soups.
I would like to make baked ziti in the crock pot.
I’ve been looking for a good replacement/addition to my older existing crockpot! Loving all the recipe ideas I’ve seen on the blog.
A self stirring crock pot?! Dream come true!! I love to use the crockpot to make soups or deconstructed casseroles, usually no recipe, just throwing in whatever veggies and protein I have with a grain and some spices and enough liquid to bring it together. Simple food in the crock pot always tastes good!
Soups and pork
Never owned a crock-pot, would love to win to see what I could cook in it.

I just made these French Dip sandwiches in my slow cooker on Wednesday. They were a HUGE hit in my home. http://life-in-the-lofthouse.com/french-dip-sandwiches/
Oh wow… not that I could make half of my recipes in a stirring crockpot (I don’t know how much a roast or beef roulade would like to be stirred around) but for soups and stews that sound like a great idea!
That reminds me that I have to get my crockpot back out, now that it’s winter. Unfortunately, my most favorite recipe consists of a pork roast with onions and mushrooms in a lot (!) of processed cheese spread (similar to The Laughing Cow but with herbs) over mashed potatoes… definitely winter food and not to be eaten more than once per year.
I love making chili in a crockpot because it’s so easy!
I’d make lots of cabbage rolls in the crockpot.
I love to make stews and soups in my slow cooker. I also make pulled pork and chicken and rice. I would like to try making a ham & bean soup!
Wow!!! I never knew there was a slow cooker that had a self-stirring option!!! This is great!! I could definitely use this in my kitchen!
