If you’re a smoothie fan, The New Green Smoothie Diet: Going Green Never Tasted So Good is just the book for you.
Hilary Greenleaf uses green smoothies as an alternative to eating vegetables to help you accomplish the following health goals:
* Weight loss by drinking tasty smoothies
* Achieve instant energy without consuming sugar or energy drinks
* Detox your body without dangerous chemicals
Not only that, green smoothies are:
* A great way for kids to “eat” their vegetables
* Low in calories but high in nutrients
* Helpful for a smoother digestive system
I’m a huge smoothie fan and here are a few of my healthier favorites. All are vegan, soy-free, and gluten-free.

Spinach/kale and strawberries/raspberries/blueberries – all of them are must-haves in some fashion or another. :-)
My favorite smoothie is: berries + avocado + rice protein powder (or greek yogurt) + almond milk or coconut water (+ a handful of spinach/greens when I want to turn it into a green goodness!). The berries make it sweet and delicious and the avocado makes it as creamy as could be, pure love!!!
And my 2 favorite ingredients to add in my smoothies is definitely berries and avocados, best duo ever! :-)

My two must-have smoothie ingredients are frozen bananas (I throw them in the freezer when they are on the verge of being over-ripe) and ice, I love thick icy smoothies and the more ice the better!

bananas & almond milk!
My favourite smoothie is a green monster.
In regard to your question about the cookie … it was very similar to Levain’s. To be honest, I can’t remember much about the Levain cookie, just that it was gooey in the middle and I really, really liked it, but could only eat half because it was a little sweet for me. The Levain-like cookie was the same way. It was super good! I would make it even bigger next time to get more of the raw gooyiness in the middle :-)
to get more of the raw gooyiness in the middle = that’s what I’m all about.
The NYTimes Choc Chip cookie recipe that’s really popular the past year or so on blogs, it calls for HUGE cookies. That’s how I think they stay softer in the middle, the sheer size/surface area/cooking time, along with good dough of course.
