Last week the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) was held in Las Vegas and it’s the largest show of the year.

Whirlpool was at CES and revealed some new, exciting appliances. They design products that fit seamlessly into your life and focus on three pillars: Connection, Expression, and Innovation. Check out my pre-show sneak peak post for more.

There are great videos of all the products at the Whirlpool CES Hub. Watch the videos and see these state-of-the-art appliances in action.

They revealed 4 key new appliances at the show:

1. Interactive Cooktop – When your cooktop can browse the internet and connect with your social network, the kitchen becomes a hub of communication and exploration within the home and beyond. Entertaining is revolutionized when you can plan your dinner party on the same device that cooks the meal.

4. MaxArt Microwave – Here’s a video about the new microwaves. In a unique showing of how design, art, and appliances can come together to create a functional piece of work representative of culture, Whirlpool® collaborated with two artists in Mexico to turn a daily-used appliance into an object of desire. Local art collective Los Contratistas turned a set of 50 Whirlpool microwaves into a colorful, modular installation representative of Mexican culture using graffiti techniques. The final pieces work together to create a unique take on the modern day appliance, enriched by culture, design and the arts. For now, this is a concept-only product.

This is my final Whirlpool post and what has impressed me most about them is how focused they are on the consumer and believe in a future focused on you.

Their appliances are designed with you in mind and they really want to make your life easier, more streamlined,  and efficient. I really appreciate it when a company thinks in this way!

  1. my first job is to get the house totally organized from one end to the other…..then start to redecorate and liven the place up – we are tired of neutral colors!

  2. Our future home, which is being built right now (though isn’t to the appliance installation phase), would have an oven that is the centerpiece of our kitchen and our family. An oven that fills our new home with the smell of fresh baked cookies for years to come

  3. These products are amazing. If I won they would come at a perfect time. Every other day lately we’ve been spending $1000 to fix or replace something in our house. What will break next?!

  4. For reals someone needs to make me a washer/dryer that does the entire load at once. I can’t tell you how many loads of laundry sour because I forget to switch them over. The washer could be on top and once it is finished a door could open and drop the wash into the dryer portion. PLEASE!! I will buy it!

  5. I would want an oven with a thermometer that read the temperature of the inside of the oven (evenly heated!) as well as the temperature of the food I was baking

  6. My idea for the future of my home: I would actually like to own a home of my own, firstly, and if I did have a home, I would want solar panels on the roof, and all energy-saving appliances in the kitchen, laundry room, sensor faucets throughout, excellent venting system over the gas range, and a nice open layout that makes moving around in the house, a breeze :)

  7. My kitchen is the only thing I splurge on. These appliances look amazing, even the laundry machines which hubby handles lol. I also wish I could have gone to the trade show!

  8. My idea for the future kitchen in my home would be appliances that make cooking a breeze. Fridges that have little computers for keeping track of what goes in and out. Oven’s that just know when the food is cooked to perfection and tell you.
