This easy, one-skillet recipe is ready in 20 minutes and better than takeout. You’ll never be tempted again to eat rice from a flimsy white takeout container after trying homemade.

To a large non-stick skillet or wok, add the oils and chicken. Cook, flipping intermittently. Remove chicken with a slotted spoon and place chicken on a plate. Set aside.


Add the peas, carrots, and green onions. Cook, stirring intermittently. Add the garlic. Cook, stirring intermittently.


Push vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the eggs to the other side. Cook to scramble, stirring as necessary.


Add the chicken and rice. Drizzle with soy sauce, optional salt and pepper, and stir to combine. Cook.
