Ingredients
Ice
2ouncesbourbon*I used Jim Beam
1ouncesweet vermouth
2dashes Angostura bitters
1small Orange peel slice
1maraschino cherryfor garnishing
Instructions
In a shaker filled halfway with ice, add the bourbon, vermouth, and bitters. Stir with a bar spoon for 15 to 20 seconds.
Strain into a cocktail glass and squeeze the orange peel over the top of the glass to release the oil.
Garnish and serve with the orange peel and a maraschino cherry. Recipe is intended for those for whom alcohol is legal and appropriate.
Notes
* Rye or Canadian Whiskey may be used instead of bourbon.
