I was really excited on Friday when these new boots came!
They are Whooga ugg Boots
Points of clarification on the boots I received:
Whooga is the brand.
And the word ‘ugg’ simply means the style of sheepskin boots.
There are other brands of ugg boots, such as UGG Australia and many others.
But I chose these lovely purple fuzzy numbers from Whooga.
They are so soft, so fuzzy, and I can see these being my new best friends.
Yes, I am one of those Southern California girls who walks around with shorts and ugg boots on when it’s 72F and sunny out.
I have a few pairs that I’ve bought over the years, but nothing as cute or soft and plush on the inside as these purple ones! Just having them on was like a treat on my skin. So soft and fuzzy!
Other than getting excited about my purple boots, I was excited about some plants.
Dressed with Vegan Slaw Dressing
Juicy grapes are simple but exciting when you find that perfect, crunchy grape.
I also crunched on some homemade crackers. Vegan, GF, Nut-Free, and Cinnamon-Sugary. You could also go savory with them.
Bake in the oven or dehydrate them. Either way, you’ll like them.
I posted my cracker recipe nearly one year ago when I got sick of paying for Mary’s Crackers and wanted a sweet, gluten-free, seed-based cracker. I have always loved cinnamon & sugar crackers. I used to love cinnamon and sugar graham crackers as a kid.From my last post balancing it all, and whether or not you feel balanced in your life, thanks for chiming in on what makes you stressed and whether or not you live your life feeling mostly balanced, or mostly out of balance.
And because I was running out to an appointment, I had my post set auto-publish, but I did it wrong there was a glitch and then my Balancing It All post and my Candy Friday post got a bit mixed up for a couple hours on my site. Not a biggie, but just letting you know in case you missed either of those.

Questions:
1. Do you like boots?
I love boots! I own some cowboy boots, fashion boots in all heights, i.e. ankle, calf, over the knee, a few pairs of ugg-style boots. So yes, I love boots. So does Madeline.
Boots may not always be the most practical footwear in San Diego, and I do wear flip-flops 365 days a year at some point each day, but I also love throwing on boots. Especially soft, fuzzy boots!
2. Have you ever worn any sheepskin ugg-style boots?
Yes, I have the UGG Australia brand in light tan and in darker brown. And also have another ugg-style brand that’s sand colored with laces. If your life-path does not include wearing leather or animal products, that’s cool too.
And Skylar has bright pink Target-brand ugg boots. Scott even has some camel-colored UGG Australia boots but he’s not going to model them for you.
She asks me every day, “Mommy, can I wear my boots?” The apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree.
3. Weekend plans or anything fun happening?
I am working, and possibly getting together with a friend tomorrow, but things are still tentative on that. Either way, I will have plenty to keep myself busy with my errands, kitchen and meal prep, working out, and just handling life. And hopefully will still feel balanced.

I’ve just recently come into my “boots” phase. My mother-in-law bought me a pair of UGG Australia boots for Christmas and now I’m in love. To be honest, I have always made fun of girls who wear uggs because they can be incredibly ugly. However, in Japan, where I bike and walk everywhere, even in the cold, they are lifesavers and SO WARM.

I used to think SoCal girls with uggs were silly too. Til i realized they are practical for cool nights and cool mornings and/or early morning yoga classes to just slip on and off and stay cozy!

Cute boots!! They probably look awesome on your tall lean frame. I’m too short and stumpy for ugg boots, lol. I don’t think they would look or fit right on me, especially because I’m only 5’3″ on a good day and pear-shaped. :(
I need to try your crackers. My new obsession with Mary’s is costing a fortune and I’m supposed to be saving money! Sigh.

CUTE boots!! I want a pair – they look so cozy!! And I actually never knew that “ugg” was actually the style of those boots. Kind of like how tissues are commonly called Kleenex :P
I got a new pair of boots yesterday too! Unfortunately…they’re tall, stiff riding boots…and nowhere nearrr as fun to break in as your comfy ones :[

I definitely rock the ugg boots almost everyday. They last so long too—I have a few pairs that have stuck with me for over two years.
My weekend plan is to work (after I read blogs), workout, and then visit the grandparents tomorrow. Hoping to relax with a drink at some point too!

ok, that’s it! thanks to you, averie, i have decided to get me some UGGS!
see, i have been debating yes/no, yes/no since NOVEMBER. decided NOT to get them since i couldn’t wear them in snow. but they were SO comfy and warm. and i wasn’t sure about the price, did i want to spend the $…
i just never thought to just enjoy wearing them when there is no snow and it’s warmer out! seeing your photos, above, has given me a style a-ha moment!
when i get home…to the local UGG distributor i will go. hopefully, the sizes are not picked over since it’s the END of winter.

I need some warm boots! Tony always says I need some of those since I am always cold. I do love boots! I just now got comfortable enough to wear my jeans tucked in to them. It actually makes me feel longer when I do that…since I am so short. I’m meeting up with the ladies tonight and I can’t wait! I wish you were here! Have a great weekend Averie!

Those boots are awesome! I love the color you picked out.
I have a pair of fake “Uggs” from Payless :) I rarely wear them, but they are so nice and warm. But you can tell I paid $15 for them!
I have a pair of black riding-style boots that I wear quite a bit — I’d love more styles but I’m just not much of a shopper so I never get around to it.

you crack me up! west coasters wearing boots ;p i love the color purple! i have been quite obsessed with the tall frye boots i got at christmas and they have really been helpful with all this craptastic weather! more fun continues today! we’re walking to some new shops, getting a juice and maybe lunch at this raw vegan cafe & checking out the iPad II then off to a new bistro tonight that changes its menu daily! i’m stoked!

Averie, I am totally addicted to boots. I wear them every day and have… oh, a closet full!! haha. I even wear them in the summer time with dresses. My plan this weekend to relax and enjoy some long walks outside now that the NW is finally seeing a little blue sky and sunshine. And maybe some shopping :)

I’ve never worn or even tried on any ugg-style boots. I have just been too cheap to shell out the cash for them…but I just love the way they look :) I’m actually looking for sales right now since winter is almost over. I really want some navy-blue ones!

Ohhh I love my boots!! I just have a cheap knock off pair, but it’s true love!!
They are perfect being a student, wearing them with a pair of lulus and a hoodie! So cute!

I’m a sucker for Uggs-in all shapes and colors…it’s kind of a bad obsession. One rule of thumb is you can’t have shame with Uggs…they aren’t pretty or stylish-theyre comfy and amazing!!!! Rock ‘em out with no shame in your game:)

Love the boots! I’ve been looking for a vegan alternative to Uggs because they’re perfect for freezing winters here.
1. Yes and finding great vegan pairs in my size has been a challenge.
2. Yes, I’m still killing a pair of Uggs purchased in my non-vegan days, but will look into these when I replace them. Truthfully I rarely wear them outside the house, but they’re perfect to throw on after running around in less-comfortable boots in cold and rain at work all day.
3. Just relaxing and running, not too exciting.

I have a pair of generic uggs from Target, and I can only imagine how great the real ones are.
My plans for the day WERE to work all morning, but that went kaput (after I left my house at 7 AM ON SAT!! GRR), so now I’m going to head to Verizon to play with the iphone (Do you love yours still?) and then the bookstore to check out the new ipad. I might be dropping some serious cash money this morning….

You willl LOVE the iphone. Get it. 100% hands down, get it. No reservations at all and i only use about 10% of the phone’s tech abilities. There is SO MUCH it can do!

I love ugg boots because they’re so comfy & warm. However, I really only wear them in cold climates, like in the East Coast during winter (or more recently in Scotland).
In CA I always see girls walking around in short shorts & uggs & I never can understand it! Doesn’t your feet get sweaty in there? lol sorry if it’s TMI.

Those are SUPER cute! I love ugg style boots. Josh is not a fan (unless I wear them under my jeans ;)). Juicy grapes are always worth getting excited about. We have had such a lovely weekend. One of my best friends is in town and we went to the gym and took step/pump today and then walked around Charleston all afternoon.
