Enjoy Life Plentils Chips Giveaway

I recently received these new chips from Enjoy Life called Plentils.

“From ancient times to the present, the lentil has proven to be one of the best sources of plant-based protein. This legume is a staple in diets throughout the world, but leave it to Enjoy Life to capture the essence of its all-natural goodness and turn lentils into amazing chips.”

These chips are crazy good. Crunchy and really full of flavor.

They do not taste like lentils and they do not taste like a “healthy chip” and I mean that in the best way.

“This chip’s unique recipe results in a protein-packed, crunchy experience, bursting with flavor as you savor a great-tasting “better-for-you” chip.”

They’re vegan, gluten free, soy free, not greasy, not too salty, and their flavor is robust. The margherita pizza is the most flavorful, followed by sour cream and dill, followed by the sea salt, and I’m not a garlic fan in general so I haven’t tried those.

They are not airy, either. In fact, they are supremely crunchy and hearty. I love texture and massive crunch factor and these have it. They have plenty of substance and texture rather than that I just ate 200 calories of salt and air and nothing feeling.

You want these. Trust me.

If you want to eat lentils in other ways, I have these recipes using lentils (all are vegan and gluten free):

Ketchup & Mustard Lover’s Protein & Veggie Mash

Curried Ginger & Raisin Lentils

Chipotle Salsa Lentils with Mixed Vegetables

Sloppy “Bean & Lentil” Joes

And here are a few homemade healthier chips and cracker recipes (all are vegan and gluten free):

Raw Vegan Cheezy Kale Chips

Chocolate Coconut Kale Chips

Seeds Only Crackers – Vegan and Gluten Free (Homemade Mary’s Crackers that can be made sweet or savory)

I would love to try the pizza ones! I tried a chip made from azuki beans but I can’t remember the name of them. I got them at BJ’s and they were great! I might have to go get a bag now!

I love lentil anything. My fave are the lentil curlz from Trader’s although I only buy them once in a while because the bag tends to go POOF!

As soon as I read lentil chips, I was reminded of those indian flatbreads that are made from lentil flour and usually fried (pappadoms, I think) – get the “raw” (ready to fry) ones, brush with a little water, spices to taste, pop them in the microwave and ta-da! delicious, low-sodium, vegan, protein-packed, crispy lentil chips :).
