Hi Friends!  We made it back to San Diego.  It was a major trek, but we are home.   I’ve been up for 26 hours but there was just no way I could sleep knowing that I had tons I wanted to do so I decided to get productive: Suitcases are all unpacked, everything is put away, kitchen and food items that I brought with are unpacked, I have a load of laundry going, emails and voicemails are cleaned up, I went to the grocery store at 1:45am right before they closed at 2am, and it’s now 3:30am and I am blogging.  Figured I say hi as long as I’m up.

Has anyone hit up any post Christmas sales or done any shopping? CSN Stores has modern rugs if you need one of those.  I don’t “need” anything other than sleep and a maid.  Haha!

This was me in the Atlanta airport saving my first Starbucks in a month.  I don’t even really like Starbucks that much, but this venti extra extra hot cafe misto went down in record time

After the flight attendants realized they couldn’t sell these snack packs for like $6 bucks, they passed them out for free.  I ate the banana, Skylar ate the yogurt, but she wouldn’t eat the granola bar.  In just my last post I mentioned I should have made my own granola bars and brought a few with.  Guess it was foreshadowing because she is not a picky eater, at all. But she wouldn’t eat that bar!

It felt good to get my potassium on.  Decent bananas that aren’t green or black are hard to come by in Aruba.

Here are a few more Aruba pictures from our last day at the pool.  Just when you thought you were going to be spared from my rambling on about my trip, I continue to clean off my memory stick and post a few last pool and trip pictures.  Hope you don’t mind!

From my post yesterday that I wrote while inflight, it was fun to hear if you’ve ever tried to blog from an airplane or taken advantage of inflight wi-fiIt was a first for me.

And also, being recognized in the Aruba airport was a trip! Fun to hear where you’ve been recognized, too if it’s ever happened to you.

Well friends, I have to get crack-a-lackin’ on my zzz’s, so with that, I’ll leave you with a dessert.  If you’re not sugared out after the holidays!  Actually though, there’s no white or brown sugar in this chocolate.

Dessert: Raw Vegan Coconut Oil Chocolate Bars. Skylar goes for these kind of bars alright.

Questions
1. What’s on your agenda this week?
I was only able to do a partial grocery shopping so tomorrow I have to hit up TJ’s.  And my mail was being held at the post office and they are supposed to be delivering it tomorrow.  I know I have tons and tons of mail waiting for me that I need to sort.  And I am working tomorrow, too.

2. Do you have New Year’s Eve Plans?
Nothing “fun” but I am working and so is Scott.

3. Do you get post-holiday blues?
No, I don’t.  But I get post-holiday ants in my pants! I want to get everything done, all at once.  I feel like I have a million things to get done, and I kind of do, but if a few things have to wait, then, well, they just have to wait.

So not the blues for me, but I need to remind myself to pace myself and not try to get everything done all at once!  And with that, it’s time to hit publish and get some shuteye.
