  1. Thanks for sharing your info. I truly appreciate your efforts and I will be waiting for your next write ups thank you once again.

  2. My favorite ice cream is the PB chocolate swirl from Love’s Yogurt. I heart soft serve!!!
I’m such a big fan of cook books nad have so many. How do you decide which ones to buy?

  3. My favorite ice cream is homemade peach. We use to make it on the back porch with a hand crank ice cream machine and fresh peaches right off the tree! Nothing compares to homemade…ever.

  4. My favorite ice cream of all time is my husband’s grandmother’s homemade strawberry ice cream! Of course, now I’m vegan, so one of my goals is to recreate her strawberry ice cream in non-dairy form. :)

  5. This is so exciting! I’m fairly new to the world of Vegan eating, but am loving it, and this cookbook would help lots!

My favorite ice cream of all time is the peanut butter cup ice cream from Ben and Jerry’s… just need to find a vegan version! :)

  6. My favorite ice cream of all time is Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough! Yum! :) I’ve never made homemade icecream, but it is definitely on my to-do list!

  7. My favorite ice cream of all time is UDF Homemade Cherry Cordial with a scoop of slightly melted crunchy peanut butter and extra cherry juice – stirred to shake-like consistency. My oh my :)

  8. Mmm! This cookbook looks fantastic! My favorite brand of ice cream is Jeni’s Ice Cream (http://www.jenis.com/). She has such unique flavors that are all so good! I have two favorite flavors of Jeni’s – Goat Cheese and Black Cherry, and Pistachio & Honey. I also love cinnamon ice cream!!! So good!

  9. Ooooh I love simple fruit sorbets best of all! The standard frozen banana soft serve is great, especially with a splash of almond and/or vanilla extract, but I made the BEST variation in my brand new ice cream maker! Frozen banana chunks, blueberries, blended up in the food processor with a little vanilla. Simple soft serve. But now, put THAT in the ice cream maker and churn it into a light, easy to scoop, amazing awesomeness! Enjoy as is, with simple raw chocolate sauce, or in an easy ice cream sandwich with simple raw cookies made from almonds, dates, and optional cacao or ginger and cinnamon. My new absolutely favorite thing ever. I ate the whole batch myself!

  10. this cookbook looks insanely delish! my all-time favorite ice cream is strawberry soft-serve from this little place in South Dakota called B&G Mliky Way. I meant to go there the last time I was “home”, but forgot until the morning I left :(

  11. so delicious used to have a snickerdoodle flavor so it was cinnamon ice cream with snickerdoodle dough, but my most favorite is the tempt coffee biscotti – it’s vegan, gluten free, and soy free and it’s amazing.

  12. Chubby Hubby by Ben and Jerry’s ! It’s a treat always since Ben and Jerrys is always at least 300 calories for about one scoop!

  13. I have always been a vegetarian and have recently become vegan. I would love this cookbook. I’m finding it a little more difficult to be vegan. My favorite ice cream is mint chocolate chip! I’m going to follow on twitter and post ..

  14. Oh, these photos look so good, I could eat this screen right up! Not to toot my own horn, but my favorite ice cream is the cookie butter swirl and chunk cinnamon ice cream I made recently (some commercial chain has GOT to get on this bandwagon–otherwise I might have to sell it myself!).http://wallflourgirl.wordpress.com/2012/08/02/frozen-treats-galore-cookie-butter-chunk-n-swirl-cinnamon-ice-cream-coffee-dark-chocolate-chunk-ice-cream-and-ice-cream-sammy-bon-bons-a-k-a-national-eat-dessert-first-month-day-2-theme-post/

  15. My dad used to make the most awesome homemade strawberry ice cream.

I’ve been dying to get an ice cream maker… this book would force me to do that haha. I think the first thing I would make is an oatmeal chocolate chunk cookie kind of recipe. Yuuuum.

  16. Forbidden chocolate by Friendly’s and a very close second is Cherry Garcia by Ben and Jerry’s. Yum! But being lactose intolerant makes it very hard to eat much. So this cookbook would be a great help esp. on my tummy!

  17. Fav ice-cream flavour is plain vanilla by ‘Sanitarium So Good’. An Australian brand….
Soooo creamy and delicious! And vegan too! :)

  18. i love love love mint chocolate chip!
although there are many runners-up…cookie dough, cookies’n cream, coconut milk strawberry (TJ’s!)

  19. We don’t usually use a recipe when we make our homemade icecream. I’m a big fan of coconut chocolate chip.

  20. Whaaaat? How are we supposed to choose a favourite ice cream?
I’ve been experimenting with Chocolate Covere Katie’s voluminous ice cream recently, trying to get it just right (it’s essentially frozen soy milk)… And I don’t think there is a flavour that I don’t like!

  21. All-time favorite flavor is Ben & Jerry’s Mint Chocolate cookie. I know, dairy! And so fattening and such but SOOO good! I’ve made homemade vegan almond milk ice cream and it’s super good too, though!

  22. I make ice cream occasionally and it is vegan for my husband. I’ve had mixed results so would enjoy giving this cookbook a try.

  23. I made homemade vanillla ice cream this summer with fresh raspberries on top and it’s my new favorite! So creamy and delicious!

  24. I liked you on facebook, and followed and tweeted on twitter.
My favorite ice cream would probably be “Thats how I roll” from coldstone. (Before I was vegan!) Now it’s coldstone’s sorbet!

  25. My favorite has to be Schwans Sweet and Salty ice cream( it’s butter pecan flavored with swirls of caramel and pieces of chocolate covered pretzels)

  26. My favorite ice cream was homemade, a friend of a friend brought it to a party. I wish I got the recipe! It was homemade coconut ice cream!

  27. My favorite ice cream is Starbucks Coffee flavor – it’s so simple and purely delicious. marthalynn16 at gmail

  28. My favorite ice cream of all time is COFFEE!!!! Almost any brand will do, I just gotta get my fix any way I can. A close second is the plain vanilla from Blue Bell. My dad is from Texas and I think you can only get that brand in the south. It’s so creamy, almost like a frozen custard, with such a true vanilla flavor that you don’t need to mix it with anything.

    1. OMG, that sounds amazing. I could drink Balsamic straight from the bottle! Do you have a recipe?

  29. My favorite ice cream is the lemon variety I bought from a street vendor in Venice, Italy. I have never found any replication of it, anywhere.
When I make my own, I usually make raspberry sherbet with almond milk. Very good!

  30. I love the so delicious coconut milk ice cream – turtle trails flavor is the best! (but they are all really good).

  31. I really like the Rice Dream ice cream in chocolate, but I recently tried the So Delicious Cookie Dough ice cream and it was really good. I would love to be able to make vegan homemade ice cream though!

  32. I started following you on Twitter and I tweeted about the contest. I already follow Hannah.

  33. My favorite commercial ice cream would be Ben and Jerry’s chubby hubby (PB, fudge, pretzels). I don’t buy it much at all because I lack the discipline to make that stuff last more than a day or two!

  34. Before I went vegan, my favorite ice cream was Ben and Jerry’s Cherry Garcia. Sometimes I would eat a pint of it for dinner! It’s hard to say what my favorite is now, but Robin Robertson recently posted a recipe for Cherry Chocolate Chip Ice Cream that I’ve made a few times and it is very reminiscent of Cherry Garcia. http://robinrobertson.com/cherry-chocolate-chip-ice-cream/

  35. My brother and I got my dad an ice cream maker for Christmas two years ago. We started simple by making plain vanilla, which was delicious!

  36. Coldstone Creamery makes a dark chocolate peppermint ice cream that I loved; now I’ll have to figure out how to make a vegan version. I made a pineapple granita once that was pretty awesome.

  37. Oh my gosh, I love ice cream!! And I have two favorites: Trader Joe’s Chocolate ice cream made with coconut milk, and So Delicious in Cookie Dough flavor, also made with coconut milk!
And yes, I make ice cream at home all the time! I like mixing up coconut milk (canned, full fat) with vanilla beans and sweetener of choice (honey or xylitol) to make vanilla bean ice cream. If I am on a chocolate mood then I will add cocoa to the party. Have also made it with fruits, by pureeing blueberries into it, or cherries. And have also made my own cookie dough with vegan cookie dough bits mixed in. Sooo good!!
I also like the cookbook Vegan Scoop, it has lots of amazingly delicious ice cream recipes, we have made some of them and loved them all! (these are soy milk based)
What a fun giveaway, everything in this book looks amazing!
    Ana

  38. I love making my own ice cream (though I don’t do it nearly enough). there are some great recipes in Vice Cream

  39. Oh yummmm I need to check that out! Let’s see….when I was a kid it was all about Rocky Road. As an adult, I prefer a caramel praline.

  40. There’s an ice cream/candy store near me called Kilwin’s (they’re a change but I think they’re mostly on the east coast) and they make the most amazing ice cream. They offer a dark chocolate frozen yogurt that is absolutely amazing!

  41. This looks like a must read! I love to make banana ice cream in the vitamin if I am being healthy. I love cookie dough soy delicious if I want to be a little naughty ;)

  42. I LOVE ice cream! I just recently bought an ice cream machine and it has proven to be the best investment ever seeing as I live by myself and use it everyday. hehe. It’s great because I can make healthy versions of my favorite recipes (mint chocolate chip) or get uber creative (mocha chocolate cherry). As odd as it may sound my mint ice cream is two cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk, half cup frozen spinach, two very ripe bananas, 1/4 tsp peppermint extract, 1 heaping scoop chocolate protein powder (or 2T cocoa powder and a pack of stevia). Blend ingredients and pour into machine. I like to add cocoa nibs, too!

  43. My favorite ice cream, is actually sorbet. I really enjoy the Mojito (limey, minty) sorbet from Pitango Gelato. Perfectly refreshing on a summer’s day!

  44. Must I pick a fave? It depends on mood…but if I had to if say cookie dough by anyone who realizes that the ratio of dough to ice cream should be 50:50…
