Tender pasta shells are mixed with chorizo and seasoned shredded chicken in a cream cheese and tomato based sauce for a truly FLAVORFUL comfort food dinner recipe! Ready in 45 minutes, EASY, and with just the right amount of heat to have everyone asking for seconds!
Sooo good! This recipe is officially replacing a Cajun chicken pasta dish we’ve been making from somewhere else. This is so good and perfect! Thank you!
Prepare three bowls. Add the flour and Cajun seasoning in the first, eggs in the second, and bread crumbs and parmesan cheese in the third. Dip the chicken in each bowl.
Cook the chicken in oil on both sides, then set aside. Meanwhile, cook the pasta, drain, and set it aside. Then, sauté the bell peppers and mushrooms in olive oil, followed by the garlic. Then, transfer to a plate.
Make the cajun alfredo sauce next.
Finally, toss the vegetables and the pasta in the cream sauce. Top with the cooked and sliced chicken, and garnish before serving.
