This may be really wrong but…

Shelf of Trader Joe's Milk Chocolate covered potato chips

…the chocolate covered potato chips were kinda amazing tasting.

I actually may recreate these at home.  I don’t necessarily need to dip the entire chip into chocolate.  A drizzle would probably suffice.

The sample was so tasty I didn’t even buy a bag.  Which I could have likely devoured in 37 seconds.  Yeah, that good.

And Pumpkin Butter is so good too.  You can buy online if you don’t have a TJ’s in your area or just google for recipes and make it at home.  There are a jillion.

Jar of Trader Joe's Pumpkin butter

The last time I had a jar of pumpkin butter the fall of 09.  I missed this heavenly goodness last fall.

One of the last recipes I made with it, rather than just eating it with a spoon, was using it in Bananas Foster (vegan, GF)

Bananas Foster being made in simmering pan

You don’t have to use pumpkin butter in bananas foster. And truth be told the pumpkin flavor was lost amidst the brown sugar and oh yes, the flaming rum.  But it was a nice thought.

Bananas foster sauce is fun to drink fun to pour over bananas though.  Pumpkin butter, brown sugar, and rum make anything fabulous.  Even plain old bananas.

I think I need to add Pumpkin Butter to a Caramel Maple Pumpkin Pie Smoothie next

I also found Orange Creme Pop Extra gum and have been chewing on that.

I have seen the ads for it during Top Chef Just Desserts, both for Orange Creme Pop and Apple Pie, but just found the Orange at my grocery store yesterday.  It tastes just like an Orange Push-Ups or Orange Creamsicles so if you like those, you’ll love this gum.

I am not a fan of apple-flavored things, i.e. apple Jolly Ranchers.  I love apples <–did you see my last post

Just not apple-flavored items so I skipped the apple gum., bt I have been a fan of the Strawberry Shortcake gum for quite some time.

Housekeeping details: On server-moving related matters, thank you for your patience.  By now, most everyone should be seeing my posts via my new server and if for some reason you see a post in Google Reader but when you click off your Reader and onto the post and it’s not showing up or you get a 404 error, that’s because your internet service provider isn’t recognizing the server change.  It “resolves” on it’s own; usually within 24 hours and for the stragglers, within a couple days.  There is nothing neither you nor I can do to speed this up.  It’s called propogation and we’re at the mercy of your ISP to update and register the changes, which should happen any time now for any of the stragglers.

Also, all recipes and posts written prior to January 2011, are having a few issues with links going to an incorrect recipe page.  For example, f you click on Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Balls, you end up at Banana Bread Cake.  Whoops.  This happened with my move from Blogger to Wordpress in January 2011 and evidently when I moved servers this week, something happened with those old Blogger posts, again, and Jenn and Dustin are working on a fix.

Thanks to everyone who’s reading for your patience with the older recipes and posts for just a day or two while it’s being sorted out.

Questions:

1. What have you been chewing on today?  Or recently?  Anything especially chew-worthy and delicious?

2. What’s your take on chocolate covered chips?

I know they sound a little crazy and over the top, but I don’t see much difference between a chocolate-covered chip and a chocolate-covered pretzel in all reality.

Or how about chocolate covered edamame?  Chocolate Covered cherries?

Or Chocolate Covered Oreo Balls

Chocolate Covered Oreo Balls

Chips coated in chocolate just sound more decadent and ridiculously over the top.  But sometimes a little ridiculous is good, right?

Thanks for the Shabby Apple Giveaway entries and enjoy your weekend!
