I recently received these two Ani Phyo Cookbooks:
Her latest book, Ani’s 15 Day Fat Blast
And her classic Ani’s Raw Food Essentials, which is now available in paperback
I have always been drawn to Ani’s approach to cooking and her cookbooks. Her little pink book of 85 Raw Food Desserts is one of my favorite raw dessert-making books because Ani does not like to hassle with overly complicated or long and drawn-out recipes. As far as raw foodies go, I find she has some of the simplest and most straight-forward recipes.
For the most part, her ingredients are easy to find and source and a shopping trip won’t break the bank.
She makes things that don’t take days and days to dehydrate and I usually cannot plan days in advance and her recipes are sensitive to that.
Some of my favorite raw or no-bake, vegan, and gluten-free recipes include:
Raw Pasta Salad with Creamy Lemon & Herb Dressing
Raw Taco Salad with Raw Taco Nut “Meat”
No-Bake Vegan Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites
Vegan Seeds Only Crackers (Homemade Mary’s Crackers)
No-Bake Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Balls
One lucky reader will win a copy of both of these books.

My favorite raw recipe is the super-easy zucchini noodles! I just did a post on them this week, actually: https://www.eatlearndiscover.com/2012/06/03/zucchini-noodles-galore-with-creamy-vegan-sauce/
I’m a big fan of kale salads: a mix of shredded kale & romaine, with avocado, grapefruit juice, & black pepper “mashed” through. I add a tablespoon each of chia & hemp seeds over the top.

I have just recently started getting into raw foods, and I love all the possibilities there are! I’m especially intrigued by raw desserts, so I’m really excited to start experimenting with them!
This is my current favourite quick and easy no-bake dessert: Chocolate Mousse Pie!

if there is a healthy cinnamon roll out there, I want it!
Hi,
I love making raw + semi raw sushi nori rolls.
They look impressive, easy to get for fingure food when having guests over and you cant go past the health benefits of seaweed!
To make a lower fat option I don’t always make a nut pate but i experiment with sweet potato mixed in with parsnip rice and it holds beautifully.
These books look fantastic! Im a little embaressed to say I havent been eating as much raw as I’d like because its winter in Australia. So these look inspiring :)
