Easy Air Fryer Pork Chops Recipe

  • I think it’s fair to say we’ve all eaten our fair share of dry pork chops but I assure you these pork chops are moist, juicy, and amazing! A high protein meal that’s not chicken, ready in 15 minutes, and great for busy weeknights.
  • These pork chops are made with just a handful of simple seasonings that you’re sure to have in your cupboard already.
  • Making them in an air fryer is not only so easy, but it nearly guarantees they’re going to turn out perfectly! The air circulates in such a way that creates perfect tenderness to these pork chops.
  • I have another easy recipe for Parmesan Air Fryer Pork Chops if you’re a fan of air frying and love Parmesan cheese, they’re excellent.
  • If you don’t have an air fryer and prefer to oven bake the pork chops, check out my Simple Baked Pork Chops recipe.

Ingredients in 15-Minute Air Fryer Pork Chops

  • Pork chops – I use bone-in center-cut pork chops that are about 1-inch thick. You can use boneless pork. However, they tend to be thinner (so they’ll cook quicker) and less fatty (so they’ll be more prone to being dry and less flavorful) than bone-in pork chops.
  • Olive oil – Keeps the chops moist.
  • Paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper. Flavor Variations – If you want to use another seasoning blend like Italian seasoning, Lawry’s, Creole seasoning, Old Bay, or a pinch of brown sugar, Mexican seasonings, or whatever flavor direction you’d like, you can season as desired.
  • Optional – Fresh parsley or other fresh herbs including basil, rosemary, cilantro for garnishing; pats of butter.

How To Make The Best Pork Chops in an Air Fryer

  1. Preheat air fryer to 380F if yours is the type that requires preheating.
  2. Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel and then rub in the olive oil over each pork chops.
  3. Combine the seasonings in a small bowl and then dip each pork chop in the seasoning mixture and coat on the sides of the pork chops.
  4. How long to cook pork chops in air fryer? Place the chops in the air fryer basket in a single layer in a preheated air fryer, and air fry the pork chops for 9-12 minutes, or until done, but all air fryers and pork chops vary. Tips: Make sure to take the temperature with an instant-read thermometer and pull your pork chops, either bone-in or boneless, at 145 degrees F on the meat thermometer so they don’t dry out! You may have to air fry in two batches if your air fryer is on the smaller side.
  5. Allow the pork chops to rest before slicing so the juices don’t run out. Optionally, garnish with fresh herbs and a pat of butter and get ready to take your first bite!

Easy Air Fryer Pork Chops

๐Ÿท๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป Fabulously juicy and they're so EASY that they're foolproof! Made with minimal ingredients and ready in 15 minutes! Pork chops in the air fryer are going to be your new favorite way to cook pork chops! For baking instructions, see the Notes below.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 4

Equipment

  • Air Fryer (if yours does not have an XL basket, you should cook in batches; I cook two pork chops and then repeat for the second two)

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in center-cut pork chops, boneless pork chops may be used; watch the cooking time because they’ll likely cook faster
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil, divided
  • 2 teaspoons paprika, (smoked paprika may be used)
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 ยฝ teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 ยฝ teaspoons kosher salt, or to taste
  • 1 ยฝ teaspoons freshly ground pepper, or to taste
  • Fresh parsley, finely minced; optional for garnishing (or other fresh herbs such as basil, cilantro, thyme, etc.)
  • 4 pats of butter; optional for garnishing

Instructions

  • If your air fryer needs to be preheated, preheat it to 380F.
A clear glass bowl filled with a mixed seasoning blend, with a spoon resting inside, on a white marble surface.
  • Blot the pork chops with a paper towel to remove moisture from the surface and then evenly rub all of the chops on all sides with oil; set aside momentarily.
Two raw pork chops on a wooden cutting board are seasoned with a dry rub, with a bowl of seasoning and a spoon placed beside them.
  • To a small bowl, add the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, stir to combine. Rub this seasoning mix onto each pork chop, coating the sides for full coverage.
Two seasoned pork steaks placed inside an air fryer basket, ready to be cooked.
  • Air fry the pork chops for about 9-12 minutes, flipping them midway through the cooking time. Pork chops are done when the internal temperature measures 145F as measured with a digital thermometer. Tips – Do not try to guess the temperature! Undercooked pork is unsafe and overcooked pork is dry and awful; take the temperature with a thermometer. If you're cooking in batches, cook the second two chops as needed.

  • Optionally, garnish with fresh herbs and/or a pat of butter on top, and serve.

Notes

Baking: If you prefer to bake the pork chops rather than air fry, please consult my Baked Pork Chops post for reference. 400F for about 15-20 minutes will do the trick but all pork and ovens vary, so cook as necessary.
Storage:ย Leftovers will keep airtight in the fridge for up to 5 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave for about 30 seconds, or as desired; or just eat cold from the fridge.
