  1. My favorite holiday food is cookies.. almost any kind, but chocolate chip homemade by my mom get me every single time.

  2. i love pumpkin anything! pumpkin plus warming spices and i’m all over it! lately, i’ve been making pumpkin soufflees like crazy to satisfy that craving!

  3. My mom’s spritz cookies filled with strawberry jam and dipped on the ends in chocolate and chocolate sprinkles…amazing!

  4. My favorite holiday treat is Norwegian lefse (acquired taste? maybe –it’s essentially flour and lard. Looks like a tortilla, but tastes sweeter). My family has an antique lefse iron they use to make it, and we only pull it out once a year. I love it the tradition and the way it melts in my mouth. My key to staying healthy is to maintain my workouts even when I don’t feel like it and later might wear my day clothes to bed because it’s so freaking cold that I don’t want to change again. This year, I added another strength training class (so 2 a week).

  5. To stay healthy during the holiday season I make sure to never cut out the workouts! I also allow myself to eat dessert only every other day, but splurging is ok! its the holidays after all!

  6. My favorite holiday tread (I’ll stick with Thanksgiving, since it always gets the boot), is definitely apple pie. As much as I love pumpkin, I love me some apple pie a la mode!
