Last week the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) was held in Las Vegas and it’s the largest show of the year.
Whirlpool was at CES and revealed some new, exciting appliances. They design products that fit seamlessly into your life and focus on three pillars: Connection, Expression, and Innovation. Check out my pre-show sneak peak post for more.

They revealed 4 key new appliances at the show:
1. Interactive Cooktop – When your cooktop can browse the internet and connect with your social network, the kitchen becomes a hub of communication and exploration within the home and beyond. Entertaining is revolutionized when you can plan your dinner party on the same device that cooks the meal.

3. CoolVox Refrigerator – Meet the fridge of the future, the new CoolVox™, musically powered by Harman Kardon. This one can. There’s a great video about it here
With the new CoolVox™ sound system refrigerator concept, enabled by Bluetooth® wireless technology and the impeccable sound of Harman Kardon Speakers, you can play music and podcasts through the refrigerator directly from streaming through Bluetooth®-enabled devices, such as your mp3 player, tablet, or computer.
There’s no need for extra wires, cords or speakers because this is all housed within the refrigerator.
4. MaxArt Microwave – Here’s a video about the new microwaves. In a unique showing of how design, art, and appliances can come together to create a functional piece of work representative of culture, Whirlpool® collaborated with two artists in Mexico to turn a daily-used appliance into an object of desire. Local art collective Los Contratistas turned a set of 50 Whirlpool microwaves into a colorful, modular installation representative of Mexican culture using graffiti techniques. The final pieces work together to create a unique take on the modern day appliance, enriched by culture, design and the arts. For now, this is a concept-only product.
This is my final Whirlpool post and what has impressed me most about them is how focused they are on the consumer and believe in a future focused on you.
Their appliances are designed with you in mind and they really want to make your life easier, more streamlined, and efficient. I really appreciate it when a company thinks in this way!

I would love to replace my old, barely working appliances with new awesome ones like these!
All of the appliances that came with our home are Whirlpool and we love them! However, our washer and dryer are not Whirlpool and are really old. I would love to have a new washer and dryer, especially a dryer that I don’t have to run three times to get the clothes dried! I also would love to see a microwave that you can set the temperature that you want the food to be, and it instinctively warms the food to that temp. Does that exist already? I am pretty behind the times when it comes to appliances :-)
I see my future kitchen full of a colorful array of Whirlpool and CES wrapped appliances. The new washer and dryer combo is, not only sleek looking, but the new and advanced efficiency of the products makes them all more appealing to me. I would love to one day have every one of them in my professional kitchen. Cooking is, not only part of my job, but it is my joy too. I am one of very view people that I know who truly enjoys doing laundry too!! Thank you for this opportunity.
I would love to update my home with new technologies such as these. I especially would love to have a refrigerator with music-playing capabilities!

I’d love to see a home stove/oven that could function as a pizza oven, rotisserie, bread proofing oven, just anything you could think of…
The future idea I have for my home is to run a gourmet cookie business out of it, and your blog was actually a big inspiration and educational impetus for it! (I left you a facebook and older comment to that effect recently.) I love the idea of an interactive cooktop with internet connectivity – most of my recipes are either memorized or jotted down into shorthand on my first-generation iPhone (ie. old technology), so this would make recipe reference and getting feedback from internet friends much easier!

I would love to have updated appliances, either a stove or washer/dryer set. I love improving things in the home, its just a great feeling when you get something you really appreciate.
