🍂🥬🍠🍎🍐 My 20 Best Recipes to Make in November is not just a Thanksgiving recipe guide. It’s a roundup of seasonally driven recipes to enjoy all month long! November seasonal recipes include fresh fall salads featuring apples and pears, roasted side dishes with sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts, comforting main dishes with hearty root veggies like broccoli and cauliflower, and my favorite apple and cranberry desserts!
What’s In Season in November
November is all about hearty produce that peaks during cool weather.
For veggies, look for squash of all kinds: butternut, acorn, kabocha, delicata, or spaghetti squash.
Root vegetables including sweet potatoes, carrots, beets, parsnips, and turnips are seasonal.
Brassicas like cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, and kale thrive and taste less bitter during the cooler autumn months.
Fruits include late season apples, pears of all types, persimmons, cranberries, and pomegranates. Citrus fruits like oranges and clementines are just beginning.
All of these ingredients make it easy to pull together cozy weeknight dinners, fresh salads, and simple sides. My apple and cranberry desserts are just as welcome on a regular weeknight as they are on the holiday table.
