  9. My favourite smoothie is one with sunwarrior choc protein, frozen banana, almond milk, and a good dollop of peanut butter! A classic that can’t be beat

  10. My favorite smoothie recipe:

    4 large sweet bananas

    2-3 tablespoons cacao powder
    1/4 cup goji berries

    LOVE

2 ingredients that I love to use in my smoothies:

    Cacao
Greens (veggies and green powders such as spirulina, chlorella, and barley grass)

  11. I love my smoothies with almond milk, pineapple, and or chocolate.. I get it where i can! Hey its got antioxidants :) and I have been looking for a Green Smoothie recipe book for QUITE some time now and to win this one would put me on my fast track to becoming more healthy whole and happy!! Thanks and Namaste!

  12. I love green smoothies! And I would so love to win this book!

Sometimes I go with the traditional green smoothie: a banana, a few cups of spinach or kale, and an orange or lemon with just enough water to get it going. Other times I love to go wild: apple, cranberries, ginger, celery, chia, brazil nuts, and spirulina is my favorite breakfast lately! Yums!

A spoonful of rice protein is a great addition too, especially if it’s a post-workout smoothie.

  13. Peanut Butter & Banana. Hands down!

If i’m in Marathon training mode… Peanut Butter, banana, carob chips, Vanilla Vega Sports performance, almond and/or coconut milk, and a wee bit of coconut oil!

  14. I love your blog! I have been working on a healthier lifestyle… no processed foods, no alcohol, more veggies, less meat and dairy, juicing, drinking wheatgrass, eating more raw, the list goes on… Your blog has helped me so much. Not only are your recipes great but they inspire me to create my own amazing healthy food and you inspire me to stay on track with a healthier lifestyle.

  15. And I love smoothies – my favorite is made with bananas and strawberries, then add the juice of one lime for a contrast.

  16. plain greek yogurt and frozen bananas always seem to make it into my blender. Trying hard to embrace green smoothies. i think i just need a vitamix!

I think I would like to try Ulli’s chai-banana shake.

  17. YUM YUM, really want this book. I love green smoothies, hard to pick a favorite, anything with spinach and bananas.

  18. My go to smoothie: A frozen Banana, spinach, Greek yogurt and strawberries :) smooth and sweet yum! Sometimes I throw in some flax or chia seeds too!

  19. I just started doing green smoothies for breakfast and lunch in an effort to lose some weight. Todays was apples, kale and lemon juice. I think I need a better blender because mine was super chunky. Kind of like wet lawn clippings :(. Typically I like Coconut milk, raspberries or cherries and some spinach and chia.

  20. I love green smoothies! My two must-have ingredients in any smoothie are bananas (for sweetness and creaminess) and chia seeds.

  21. Love to drink green smoothies myself and I’d love to win the ebook! I enjoy a large handful of spinach, unsweetened almond milk, blueberries, ice, and protein powder. It’s my delicious, regular breakfast.

  22. One of the best investments I have ever made was buying a Vitamix blender. It is a life-changing appliance! Fruits, veggies, you can blend anything! Fruit smoothies are the best way to wake up in the morning.

  23. My favorite smoothie is: berries + avocado + rice protein powder (or greek yogurt) + almond milk or coconut water (+ a handful of spinach/greens when I want to turn it into a green goodness!). The berries make it sweet and delicious and the avocado makes it as creamy as could be, pure love!!!
And my 2 favorite ingredients to add in my smoothies is definitely berries and avocados, best duo ever! :-)
    Ana

  24. My two must-have smoothie ingredients are frozen bananas (I throw them in the freezer when they are on the verge of being over-ripe) and ice, I love thick icy smoothies and the more ice the better!

  25. My favourite smoothie is a green monster.

In regard to your question about the cookie … it was very similar to Levain’s. To be honest, I can’t remember much about the Levain cookie, just that it was gooey in the middle and I really, really liked it, but could only eat half because it was a little sweet for me. The Levain-like cookie was the same way. It was super good! I would make it even bigger next time to get more of the raw gooyiness in the middle :-)

    1. to get more of the raw gooyiness in the middle = that’s what I’m all about.

The NYTimes Choc Chip cookie recipe that’s really popular the past year or so on blogs, it calls for HUGE cookies. That’s how I think they stay softer in the middle, the sheer size/surface area/cooking time, along with good dough of course.

  26. nothing better than an ice cold protein shake: almond milk, frozen banana, splash of maple syrup, and big ole scoop of super chocolatey protein powder.

  27. Great smoothie recipes! I couldn’t even start to think what my favorite smoothie is. I’m thinking Carrot and Orange :). PS – I live in Bonita.

  28. I look in the fridge, see what needs to be used, and throw it all in the blender with a healthy serving of soy ice cream and a bunch of OJ! Soo tasty!

  29. Creature of habit am I……everyday the same smoothie….
chia and flax seeds, protein powder, kefir water, kale, bananas….I do change up the second fruit– either tj’s mango chunks, wild blueberries or strawberries. Some days they’re green, some purple, some brown :D

  30. I love combining a scoop of protein powder with almond milk, cocao powder, a frozen banana, almond milk, and spinach. Tastes like a chocolate banana milkshake! SO good!!

  31. I like 1 c. Kefir, 1/2 c. frozen raspberries, 1 scoop RAW brown rice protein powder, 4 cubes pre-cut-frozen avacado, 1 T. chia seeds, 1 T. maple syrup…I know, sounds icky but it’s YUM! my friend Wendy says it tastes like a plant! hehe

  32. My favorite smoothie always changes but the base is the same: spinach, sunwarrior, almond milk, part of frozen banana. My favorite add in’s are the moment are frozen peaches, blackberries, and flax.

  33. I love smoothies and would love to win this book, it sounds awesome! And I love that the author’s last name is greenleaf! My favorite smoothie to make is strawberry and mango with yogurt and orange juice. Yum! All your recipes are fab.

  34. My favorite smoothie really just depends. A banana is essential in every smoothie, and my second favorite ingredient is coconut milk. Those two combined with other fruit, and vanilla protein powder, is a good smoothie! I also posted the giveaway on twitter and repinned something from Pinterest :-)

  35. Banana, blueberries, strawberries, hemp seeds and kale, blended with 1/2 unsweetened chocolate almond milk and 1/2 water. Yum!

  36. My favorite is spinach, 1 banana, pumpkin pie spice, 1/2 an avocado, 3 dates, and raw sweet potato! It’s delicious!

Is her last name really Greenleaf?

  37. OMG, I LOVE green smoothies. Favorite smoothie? Varies so often, but lately I’m loving coconut milk, avocado, banana, and vanilla. Maybe some spinach or other leafy green thrown in for good (nutritional) measure.

  38. Pumpkin pie smoothie, my own recipe
I always use unsweetened almond milk in my smoothies, less carbs, more flavor and good for you!

  39. two things in every smoothie I make: bananas and ice. I’ve tried frozen bananas, but I prefer the taste/texture of actual ice in there

  40. Oh this book looks great! I love smoothies. I really would like to get into juicing but just can’t pull the trigger on a juicer, especially with my small kitchen. So smoothies it is! I like a combo of milk, Greek yogurt, kale or spinach, frozen banana, and frozen berries. Sometimes I throw in some chia or flax for good measure ;)

  41. yum! I love nearly all kind of smoothies. Especially those that have been blended in a Vitamix ;)
2 ingredients that I put in all my smoothies: baby spinach and some sort of “power food”, e.g. Trader Joe´s Superfood berry powder mix, chlorella or spirulina.

  42. My Favorite Smoothie is the Green Love Machine
1 banana, 1 tbsp chia seeds, 1/2 avocado, 1 cup pineapple chunks, 2 tbsp of mint leaves, 2 cups spinach, 1 1/2 cup coconut milk, and 1 huge cup of LOVE!! Keeps me running all day :)

  43. I am a big fan of strawberry, banana, pineapple and vanilla protein powder. Of course, I have to throw in some flax seeds, psyllium husks and bee pollen too.

  44. Love Green Smoothies! In my oppinion there is no better way to get your vegis in!

My go to green smoothie is as follows- almond milk, flax seeds (or chia depending on my mood), maca powder, chocolate wheatgrass powder mix, raw cacao, vanilla stevia, canned pumpkin and spinach. Sometimes I add peppermint extract for a refreshing twist.

  45. I don’t have any must-have ingredients, just whatever is available. My favorite though are blueberries and kale, delicious combination and packed with nutrients!

  46. My current fave is what I call the Sweet & Savory Green: chia seeds, romaine, celery, cuke, ginger, 1/2 frozen banana, frozen peas, and almond milk + water as necessary.

  47. Banana and frozen fruit are indispensable for my smoothies :) There’s usually a bag of apples, pears and some leafy greens in the fridge as well.
