Quaker is on the hunt to find America’s next great oatmeal flavor by launching the Bring Your Best Bowl contest. The contest celebrates the versatility of oatmeal and all the ways to enjoy it by inviting Americans to submit their most inspired oatmeal flavors using 2-5 ingredients for a chance to win $250,000, and have their combination brought to life as Quaker’s newest oatmeal flavor.

To enter the national contest, you’re encouraged to visit www.BringYourBestBowl.com and enter your oatmeal submission, along with the inspiration behind it, now through March 12, 2016. No Purchase Necessary. All entries will be judged on the following criteria: originality, creativity and inspiration; realistic execution and potential for a delicious flavor of Quaker Instant Oatmeal; and simplicity and appeal to mass audience.

It will then be up to America to decide which oatmeal flavors come out on top. Three finalists will be announced on www.BringYourBestBowl.com on or around National Oatmeal Day – October 29, 2016 – with the flavors hitting shelves in stores nationwide for consumers to try and vote on online through November 19, 2016.

Once votes are in and tallied, the grand prize winner will be announced and rewarded with $250,000 in February 2017 along with the chance for their oatmeal creation to debut on shelves nationwide.

  1. Wow, that breakfast looks too good to eat! Love the bright pomegranite, I must start adding more toppings to my porridge :)

  2. I love pomegranate seeds, but I have never known how to use them in a recipe other than to top a salad. Thanks for this great idea!

  3. So pretty and sounds super filling! Love that you loaded yours up with bananas and PB, I sure do love me some peanut butter!! Making this for breakfast tomorrow!

  4. Now this is what I call loaded. I don’t think I’ll be able to have lunch after a bowl of this oatmeal. Peanut butter and banana makes oatmeal awesome.

  5. What a gorgeous breakfast bowl!  I love peanut butter & banana…  and the addition of the granola bars is brilliant!

  6. I made crockpot oatmeal for breakfast yesterday and my daughter said, “Why don’t people love oatmeal? It’s so yummy!”. I take a page out of your book and let them have add-ins–frozen blueberries cool down them temperature of the hot oatmeal and that’s the most requested around here, but spices and raisins and craisins are right up there, too. Thanks for the additional suggestions. I eat oatmeal as a snack … call me weird …

    1. When I was in grade school and high school, I had oatmeal as a snack in the winter all the time! With a mountain of brown sugar, a big dollop of butter, raisins, and sometimes some heavy cream drizzled. Wish I still had that metabolism :)

I love that you made a crockpot full and great tip about just using frozen blueberries in it!

  7. This is definitely a beautiful bowl of oatmeal!  I have it every morning for breakfast and I’m always looking for a way to shake it up.  I love the pomegranate seeds in there.  And the pieces of granola bar look like they give it a great texture!

  8. This elevates oatmeal to gourmet status! I love your flavor combinations in this one and you’re right–the sky’s the limit for toppings. Toasted coconut and blueberries also popped into my head.

    1. They would be awesome. I also wanted to do strawberries but when I went to the store for either blueberries or strawberries, being that they’re so out of season, they didn’t look so hot…but pomegranate to the rescue!

  9. I’m coming to your house for breakfast! This looks AMAZZZZZZZZING! I am at a constant drool already! Get me some of this goodness!!!!I try to look away and I just can’t!

  10. I know a lot of people are all about the almond butter, but I like it your way better. There’s just something about peanut butter that (for me, anyway) kicks every other nut butter’s behind!
    This bowl looks amazing!
