Make-Ahead Smoothie Freezer Packs

Make-Ahead Smoothie Freezer Packs – Prep your breakfasts and snacks for the week with these easy and DELISH freezer pack smoothie recipes!! They’ll make your mornings and your life so much EASIER!!

Back to school season is upon us and while some parents stress out over homework and carpooling duty, I worry about something else: what to prepare quickly and easily for breakfast.

Making mornings easier, more streamlined, and knowing that I have breakfast waiting for us is a great feeling.

I simply take a couple of these packs out of the freezer and toss the contents into the blender with Silk Unsweetened Vanilla Almondmilk for a perfect for grab-and-go breakfast or easy snacks. Of course you don’t have to be a kid or have kids going back to school to enjoy the convenience of these freezer packs.

The combinations for smoothies are endless. My general rule of thumb is about 1 to 1 1/2 cups frozen berries/fruit, half of a banana for creaminess, a handful of greens if you’re using them, a big dollop of your favorite nut butter if you’re using it, and about 1/2 cup Silk Milk or whatever you need to get the blender moving and for proper consistency. You can get fancier and add chia seeds, maca powder, dried oats, protein powder or whatever you enjoy.

Two of my favorite make-ahead freezer packs include this Blueberry Green Smoothie and the Tropical Temptation Smoothie. The blueberry version is great if you’re trying to work more greens into you and your family’s diet (you can’t taste them) and the peanut butter provides a boost of protein. I find it to be more filling compared to the Tropical Temptation which is lighter and really refreshing.

I prefer using frozen fruit because I don’t need to add ice which can water down smoothies.

The Silk #TastesLikeBetter campaign is rooted in providing delicious dairy-free products that inspire people to live a life grounded in positive choices that offer both taste and nutrition. Silk products are dairy-free, lactose-free, cholesterol-free, and free from artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives. The smoothie recipes are naturally gluten-free and vegan but you’d never notice because they’re satisfying and flavorful.

I’m a huge Silk fan and use it all the time in my cooking, baking, and smoothie-making. Did you see the Strawberry Coconut Pina Colada I made a few weeks ago?

Register for Silk’s email list to receive a coupon. They also have these cool Singles which are great for breakfasts or snacks on the run. The Dark Chocolate tastes like a chocolate milkshake, minus the dairy and with no saturated fat.
