Is it Friday yet? Let’s pretend it is and that we’re enjoying this.

I’m sure it’s at least 5 o’clock somewhere.

This light, refreshing, and tasty little number is made with Mango Passion Fruit Smirnoff Sorbet Light, a new line of infused vodka.

There are two other flavors, Raspberry Pomegranate and Lemon. I’m a mango fan and that was my favorite.

The vodkas are 25% lower in calories than other dessert-inspired flavored vodkas, each containing only 78 calories per 1.5 ounce serving.

That’s nice when you want to have a drink with your girlfriends, but don’t feel like running extra miles on the treadmill just to make up for those empty booze calories. No need to sacrifice here.

Now that the weather is warming up and outdoor parties and barbeques will soon be kicking off, I can definitely see myself nursing a couple of these with friends.

I love summer and warmer weather and the whole pace of life. Taking a couple deep breaths, saying ahhh, kicking back, and enjoying life for a minute without worrying about my to-do list, my email, or when I’m going to squeeze in all those errands is sure nice.

I love that this drink is so mango-ey tasting and reminds me of a tropical vacation and the wind in my hair.

It’s made with pineapple juice and coconut water. The potassium and anti-oxidants in coconut water make it a natural way to prevent hangovers.

Between natural hangover prevention and lighter vodka, let’s all say Bottoms Up.

    1. TJ’s frozen mango chunks are ALWAYS in my freezer…a handful makes an awesome addition to any smoothie! Love those things and have about 20 mango smoothie recipes on my site to prove it…haha!

  5. It’s Saturday night here, maybe I’ll just make me one. Usually I drink a Manhattan, but this Mango Coconut drink sound delicious. Thank for the tip.

  6. man that sounds heavenly!
now this is a kind of martini I would love to relax in the sun with.
speaking of sun, our weather does not have the words SNOW in it anymore! lol
    happy weekend doll!

  7. If the its 5 a clock somewhere philosophy applies, then that means I can have this cocktail for breakfast right?

  8. Martinis are my most favorite drink! And this one is a must to try! I always think of ideas to throw a party or a get together of some sort…and this definitely is party worthy! Maybe I’ll throw a party with the girls and have a Martini Party. With all of these yummy recipes ….so motivated …and thirsty!

  9. These look so refreshing I could just gulp a few of these up right now! I actually just bought some flavored coconut water at costco and now I am inspired to grab the vodka!

  10. I love sweet, girly, drinks! Thanks for sharing a recipe that won’t make me feel too guilty the following morning. :D

  11. This dream is taking my imagination to an island right now and I truly want to thank you for that! Mental vacay!

  12. I’m not much of a martini fan, but that mango is calling to me…LOVE the coconut water
I could definitely see me on the deck with of of those this weekend

  13. I have been staring dreamily at my mango tree these days…urging it quietly to hurry and produce mangoes already! When they are here, we love to make mango smoothies. This smoothie recipe is one I’ll have to make for a summer barbecue for the adults to enjoy. looks fantastic, Averie:)

  14. Just saw a commercial the other night for the new Smirnoff sorbet line – sounds so delicious! And I’m a huge coconut water fan (although, not so much of the price) and love how refreshing it is. Looks like the perfect way to unwind on after a long day!

  15. Oh girl. I’ve never wanted (and needed) a cocktail more!! What a fine job you did with this martini Averie! I am guilty of having one too many sugar-laden drinks, so knowing there is a lighter option out there is wonderful. :) Love your photography. Honestly, you could make dirty dishes look beautiful. PS: I love mango anything. PPS: totally craving martinis right now. PPPS: we need to have martinis together one day!

    1. Thanks for the compliments on the pics. For some reason this was a realllllly hard photo shoot. My camera kept trying to autofocus and couldn’t ever find a focal point. Finally I had to shut down all automation and truly just manual focus it. It was so hard with all the reflective surface..the glass, the booze, the booze in the bottles, the 3 glass bottles; it was light bounce city and my camera couldn’t cope. Trusting your own eye with focusing is an act of faith. Good thing I waited til after the shoot to start enjoying the drink :)

And yes, we HAVE TO have drinks together. Let’s meet in Aruba :)

  16. It’s still Thursday on my end, but I had Mohito with a friend. She had some bad news and needed a drink. I like Martini Bianko but this is a whole another level :)

  17. I am so ready for Friday and a drink. Preferably by that gorgeous beach. We’re about to get out first 100 degree day and it is making this refreshing martini look reallll appealing. :)

    1. Don’t you have about 4-5 mos yet before that’s a reality? And dang girl, stay cool in the heat!

  18. So refreshing. I always have trouble getting fresh Mangos that are ripened enough so this is a great alternative. Love your colors as usual ♥

    1. I honestly prefer frozen mangoes more often than not b/c slicing up mangoes is not my forte – and even if it was, they are often underripe or overripe and stringy. Those TJs frozen chunks are the best thing in the world :)

  19. In here is 5 pm and I have some coconut water and pineapple juice in my fridge that must be a signal right? Great recipe and super beautiful pictures

  20. IS it Friday yet?! This week seems to be taking forever. Maybe if I enjoy a few of these, then it’ll feel like Friday. Your pictures are beautiful, Averie! This drink would definitely make me feel like I’m somewhere tropical. Can’t wait to try it. :)

  21. I’ve never had coconut water. I keep meaning to buy it and always forget! Now I have a really good excuse, because it’s only 6:30am, Jordan’s been up since 3, so I could TOTALLY go for a drink right now. :)

  22. Tropical flavor, lighter on the cals, AND includes a hangover preventer? Averie, I think you just gave us the ultimate in summer sippin’! CHEERS :-)

  23. I was just telling my husband the other day that I needed to have a martini. Mango happens to be one of my favorite fruity flavors, so this is definitely the perfect drink for me!

    1. I was just telling my husband the other day that I needed to have a martini <-- I never do that. It usually is a massage or...cookies. Or a vacation! lol

  24. Boy…do I wish it was Friday! This drink looks delicious! I love the combination of coconut and mango! Yummy!

  25. Yes, please! Using coconut water in a Cinco de Mayo cocktail recipe (guest blog post) on May 3rd. Love the hangover prevention feature of coconut water, too. (Didn’t know that, learned something new. Cocktails with health benefits? Oh, yes!) LOVE mango and this recipe, Averie. Cheers! Pinning…

    1. Thanks for the pin and glad I could help justify the health benefits of booze for you :) I learned that about 10 yrs ago and have never forgot it. See how my brain works. Lol

  26. I LOVE how tropical this is. Mon do I wish I was on a tropical vacation drink this! You are killing me with these photos. Especially that shot of the water. That is an awesome picture!

    1. iPhone. Aruba. I love it there and can’t wait to be back there! Usually we’re there about 2 mos a year. August & Dec and in the links in the post near that water pic, I linked to some Aruba beach/vacation pics :)

  27. Oh man. I need it to be Friday on so many levels. That looks simply perfect, especially considering I’m heading West for the ocean views soon. I could totally go for that with a splash (heavy splash) of vanilla vodka or rum this evening. I love making strawberry daiquiris. We don’t even use simple syrup. Just blend either fresh berries with ice or frozen berries sans ice with vanilla rum and maybe a couple of drops of stevia if berries are tart.

    1. I would LOVE to try one of your homemade strawberry daiquiris. How awesome they sound!

And safe travels out west. What are the odds I’m going to be gone. Figures! Well have a safe flight and have fun here! xoxo

  28. Okay I need one of these right now! I was just thinking about how I haven’t had a drink in awhile and need one to chill out. I love flavored vodkas. My dad always buys me the little bottles at the liquor store to try.

  29. Oh my gosh Averie! I literally just discovered coconut water and was scouring the internet for a cocktail and could not find one for the life of me! Thanks so much for posting this, I love love mango!! And all the other cocktails are filled with sodas- just not my thing! I can’t have pineapple juice though, have you tried it with orange? I am so excited to try this hence all the exclamation marks! Ummm and lower calorie vodka? Count me in!!

    1. I wrote in the recipe that I used a pineapple-OJ blend and it worked fine! So yes, go for it with orange. Will be just as lovely! No pineapple juice for you…wah! I love it but glad the vodka excites you :)

  30. How refreshing! And I love the beautiful color of this drink too! So perfect for this awesome warmer weather we’re finally having :)

  31. Ohhhh I should hate you for tempting me with this first thing in the morning… but it really just makes me love you that much more :)

  32. If I have anything alcoholic, it has to be sweet and/or fruity so I usually lean toward sangria, Riesling, or moscato. I have heard about all the flavor infused vodkas but haven’t really checked them out. Mango passion fruit sounds pretty good in a martini and I love the vibrant color of this one!

    1. I am more of the fruity variety again these days. I am such a lightweight now that fruity is good :)

  33. Closing my eyes and pretending It’s Friday night, and this drink is in hand… YES!
